I have one friend who lives on Bowen's farm land and she found three that she could read. this was a note from her.....Here are 3 names of Bowens buried in the graveyard on our farm, Mary E.Bowen September 15, 1879-December 8, 1898, Edith O.Bowen March 13, 1859-January 18, 1906, Daniel F.Bowen, dates unreadable at the time.
Then the other grave yard is on 231 in Barstow and there are quite a few Bowen in there.

Re:Daniel and Ann Bowen 1800's
I have been trying to find some information on the 2 graves.
I believe they are in unmarked graves on the Bowen Family farm. There was a lady here in the county that wrote a book about Calvert County families and graveyards. The library might have it. It is a hard back golden yellowish in color. Her name was Mildred O'Brien. Most of her information was correct but there is also some not so correct.

No problem, Jason. I live near Christ Church so if you can locate the grave site, I can photograph it for you. Let me know. Thanks. Steve Keefe

Napolean B. Keen
Dear Jason,

I updated the memorial for Napolean's wife, Emma (take a look) and listed their five children. I also created a "holder" memorial for Napolean at Keens Cemetery and requested a photo. Hopefully someone can visit the cemetery and get a photo of the grave marker (if one exists).

Thanks again,
Dan Stevenson

Find A Grave contributor Jason Barna has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Emma Keen.

Their suggestion:
Napolean Bonaparte Keen actually died in Evansville, Randolph Co , Illinois.. burial place is listed as Keensberg, Ill so I'm assuming it is in the Keens Cemetery but I haven't had a chance to go out and look and verify if he is indeed at the cemetery and he's not listed in Find A Grave either...

1900 census only shows 2 children in the household Thomas B Keen (Benard?) and Mary K Keen

Tuttles & Buckmasters
I took photos of all the Tuttles & Buckmasters in South Hill today that have markers. I also spoke to the caretaker about the maps. I was correct, they cannot be copied nor can they leave his office.

RE: South Hill / Sharon / Union
It's been raining too much to go take photos, just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten. The only 2 days that it wasn't raining, we had a roofer here & we had to catch up on yardwork.

It appears that someone has created a memorial for a William Wood withut a burial location and attached the children to him. Is my William the same William. I created his memorial from burial records at Friends Cemetery.

RE: South Hill / Sharon / Union
Yeah, I guess you'd call it that. Why are you making a trip here?

RE: South Hill / Sharon / Union
The plats for South Hill are in the cemetery office, that is what the caretaker & I use everytime to find graves, they are way too big to copy & since they are the only copy, cannot leave his office. They are on several big boards.
I can try to find out about the ones for Sharon & Union, but it won't be for awhile because my husband is taking vacation next week.

I didn't notice until I went to add the photo, but the memorial that you made your request from is a duplicate of this one

I found his stone. Unfortunately it has been knocked over. It was propped up about 3 inches but in trying to set it upright it slipped and is now flat on the ground. I intend to return with help to set it up as soon as I can get the help. The cemetery is an old church cemetery. The church was torn down in 1955.

RE: Thanks!
You are so welcome. I don't know why I didn't add a photo of Anna's when I added her memorial, I can't imagine adding it if she doesn't have a stone. I'll try to go back to the cememtery in the next few days. By the way, the sexton & I like the name Buckmaster, would be interesting to find it's origin.

Sorry for the misread of your note. The Buckmasters are at the East end, 1st row about the middle of the south section of Ramsey Cemetery. They are next to C. W. and F. L. Buckmaster.

RE: Buckmasters in Fayette
There is a published (I think)family history for the McAlilly Family which has a lot of information about the Buckmasters. Mary Ann was the wife of John Hilary, son of Gideon. I don't have that history any more. Gave it to a distant cousin who is more closely related to Gideon D. Buckmaster' wife Rebecca Northam. It might be in a library somewhere....
If you want to give me your Email address, I can forward the family information I extracted from that doc into family tree maker. It might have some information you don't have.
I will be gone for a week but could respond when I return.
