Plot map of Odd Fellows Cemetery in San Francisco
Hello Antone

I am looking for a map of the Odd Fellows Cemetery in San Francisco. Something that would have the Tier and Lot numbers as well as street names. Any help that you can give will be welcomed.

Gary Carlberg
Hello Mr. Sousa,

My name is Gary Carlberg and I am doing research on my family history. There is a picture associated with Charles Brahs along with his cemetery headstone.

I was wondering if you are allowed to tell me where you may have gotten this picture or if it is possible I might be able to contact someone regarding it please.

Charles Brahs was my Great Grandfather and I wanted to try and obtain more information.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Thomas Gray, Jr. Family
Hi Antone - I am impressed with the information you have put on Find A Grave about the Thomas Gray Jr. family. The loss of so many sons of this family during the Civil War is heartbreaking. I believe that my 2XGGM Nancy Matilda (Gray) McClatchey (1842-1913) lived with the Thomas & Elizabeth (Craig) Gray, Jr. family during the time of the 1850 U.S. Census, since there is a Nancy M. Gray, age 7, living with the family at the time. Nancy M. Gray does not appear with her own family on their 1850 U.S. Census at that time, which has been a mystery for several family members researching Nancy M. Gray. Thomas Gray Jr. would have been her great uncle. Her grandfather was John Gray (1791-1833), the brother of Thomas Gray, Jr. He married Martha Critchlow (1790-1878). Nancy M. Gray's parents were Samuel Gray (b. 1819) and Eliza (McClatchey) Gray (b. 1820). Nancy's father had taken a new bride after his first wife died and it is possible that she didn't get along with her. I'm just wondering if you have any information about the Nancy M. Gray on the 1850 U.S. Census in Thomas Gray Jr.'s household. Please contact me at Thanks, Bonnie Jackson

Hi Antone, No worries. I'll stop by for Hazel and get that pic. I dug out the memorials and know where it is, so I'll grab it this time on my next visit
If time permits, I'll check out wheeler requests unless another volunteer beats me too it. Thx Jim

Hi Antone, I noticed you had a photo request for Mary just submitted, however, I posted one the other day. I think Hazel might be the only memorial missing from that plot in section. ... I think? Just curious if this was submitted in error. Thx

Hi Antone, glad I can help.
I noticed you didn't request Gladys' pic but it is in the same marker as Leonard's, I'll post that shortly. Also, I'm not sure if I missed one at the other family plot. The picture shows 6 markers and I think I only posted 5, yet have no more pics? Any idea who I may have missed? If you figure it out, request another pic and I'll revisit. It was section 11. Cheers, Jim

Are you related to this person? If so, my father may have served with him at MacDill AFB in 1944 and I have a photo that may be of interest to your family. My father, Edward B. Mierzejewski, was a ball turret gunner and trailed with a man named Rajte at MacDill. I have a photo of the flight crew with him. You may contact me at Thank you!

You are most welcomed. It was a windy day here in LA and I was carrying some papers and of course a couple of them blew all over as I went running through the cemetery catching them. She died so young. I took notice and held a moment of silence as if I knew her..

I did not find Madison in the list of available towns. Also, I have transferred his memorial to you...his family. It is my honor to do so.

RE: Thomas Hanford Lawson/Sarah Jane Lawson
Hi Antone, What a treasure to have those letters! So glad I could hep with your photo request. Cedar Hill is a nice old cemetery on a hilltop overlooking the Saint John River. Good luck with your research! Best, Sandy

Dear Sandy: Thank you so much for adding the photos for Thomas Hanford Lawson & his wife, Sarah Jane. I have been researching the Lawson side of the family for several years and, although I have several letters from Thomas Lawson in my possession, just seeing his tomb stone adds so much more. I live in the San Francisco Bay area, and my wife and I hope to visit Saint John, New Brunswick, this year, and continue investigating our roots. Thank again,

Antone Sousa
