I would like to copy this gravestone photo to my family tree on ancestry.com. I will give you credit. I was going to ask for a transfer but I believe that has been done to some one else.

|Baxter B. Fite III||RE: Joseph Stewart|
Dear Nashay, I want to Thank You for entrusting me with the Find A Grave site of Joseph Stewart of the 86th Illinois that you created. I consider it a great honor and privilege to have TEMPORARY management of his site so that I can work on his biography as I find information. Since I started all of this 26 years ago, it has been my intent to locate family members who hopefully can provide me with more information AND PHOTOGRAPHS of their ancestors and to provide them with any information AND ANY PHOTOGRAPHS that I been fortunate to find and copy that they may not have. Since I found out about Find A Grave, I have been fortunate to find a number of family members who were thrilled to take over management of their ancestors site after I had added all I could. I'm not going to beg some grandson who couldn't care less about his great grandpa to take over management of his great grandpas site, but it is my hope and prayer that I can find at least one interested descendant of every member of the 86th that will treasure their ancestors site. And I promise I will do that!! The last thing I want to do is die with 992 Find A Grave sites of the 86th Illinois.
Thanks again for all that you have done and for all you will yet do for Find A Grave. It is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! P.S. There is not picture of his tombstone yet. I still work in the dark ages with an old 35 mm camera with film in it and the only way I have been able to add pictures is that I also have a scanner that I can scan into the computer and then can send on to Find A Grave. Hopefully a volunteer with the equipment needed will get Joseph's grave photographed. Thanks again for all you've done!! This email leaves Peoria with prayers that it finds its way to you and finds you doing well. Sincerely, Baxter

|Jennifer Sepulvado||RE: Zumwalt|
Hi, Naomi! Thanks for letting me know about the Zumwalt additions. My sister lives in an old home in Williams, and when I visited last year, we went to the cemetery and took pics of graves for people associated with her house. I think Joseph Zumwalt may have been in or near the Retterath family plot. According to people in Williams, the houses in her neighborhood were built by Henry Retterath.

|Katy C||Alma/Elma Thompson|
Alma Thompson is the name on the Find A Grave memorial. Elma is the name in the headstone.
They are the same person - the wife of John Stickney Thompson. I re-request a photo for her headstone.
I will contact the memorial owner, a distant relative of mine, and see if we can sort out what her name really is. I would guess that the headstone is right, but you never know.
Thank you for all of the wonderful work you are doing to help! You are awesome!

|Katy C||Ruth Thompson|
Greetings! I re-requested a photo for Ruth Thompson and in the photo request message I included her middle name, Jane, and her maiden name, Graham. She is the mother of John Stickney Thompson.
Thank you for all of your help!

I am sorry there wasn't but one Pacholke headstone in the area where they all were buried. I was excited to look for the headstones for you, but disappointed when I arrived at the location and found only the one headstone. I posted that headstone under Christopher, but I note you had questions as to whether that was the right place to post it because of a death date of 1908 to 1903. If you need me to remove it, let me know. Chris

|Debra Monsive||Ruth and Ervin Pacholke|
As you recall I had claimed your request for a picture of Ruth Rissue Pacholke's headstone, but was unable to locate one after several attempts. Yesterday I claimed your request for a picture for Ervin Pacholke thinking that I had found other Pacholke's at Sears Cemetery. After claiming the request I realized it was other Rissue's that I had seen at the cemetery.
After I discovered this I decided that I needed to figure out if they were actually buried there and did some research and confirmed that they are at Sears Cemetery. As recently as 2002 Ruth had a temporary marker and it was photographed at that time by John Williams who was kind enough to let me post a copy to Ruth's memorial. Ervin does not have any kind of marker; his ashes were placed next to Ruth.
I am thankful for volunteers like John Williams who record and photograph cemeteries so other's may discover information about their family.

If you will send me the names and your findagrave number I will be more than happy to give to you.
I was documenting the cemetery so folks like you looking for the ancesters could find them.

|Tim Wilkinson||RE: 3 Stanton Photot Requests|
They were "just" added. Someone else got the request and sent the pictures directly to me instead of posting them to F.A.G. I have no control over who see's the requests and "how" they act on them. Thanks for your time. I'm glad you checked the site before doing the work.

I was doing some cemetery searching in Orange County, CA and happened upon a website that lists the plot locations in the Santa Ana Cemetery. I remembered your Pacholke surname and put it in. Here is what I found:
Caroline A. S Block: 7 Lot 3 Space 9
Christopher F. S Block: 7 Lot 3 Space 6
Ethel S Block: 7 Lot 3 Space 10
William Edward S Block 7 Lot 3 Space 2
If you don't manage the memorials yourself, try and get whoever does to enter the plot information or take down your request and reenter it with the plot information. Volunteers like not having to bother the people in these cemetery offices as they are sometimes not cooperative.
Here is the website, as I note you have at least one other loved buried in Santa Ana Cemetery - occemeterydistrict.com Hope this is helpful to you.

I'll be happy to add to the photo that it was the courtesy of Amy Cowperthwait. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the memorial right now. Did you delete it? Hopefully not. Please send me the memorial number.

|macso||Birth and Death Date|
I was able to find William Pacholke in the California Death Index. You will have a better chance of someone being able to find his grave with these dates added. He was born 25 Oct 1870 in Canada and he died 14 Mar 1963. Hope this helps.

Yes, you can definitely go in and take and add pictures Find A Grave. Especially for anyone in my family you find who is buried there.

Hi Nashay, None of the Miller's you listed are mine (or at least not closely enough related for me to work with) so won't need any of them. You take em! Is Holy Cross Cemetery really small, or does it go by another name. Seems like there should be more than 18 entries on Find A Grave in it.

|Catherine Clemens Sevenau||Fouch's in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colusa|
Hi Nashay, Great pictures, thanks! I do have a picture for Ina & James Fouchon Find A Grave. However, if you have a better one I would love to have a copy of it as I have a written family genealogy I could add it to. Hmmm. No Triplett's. Do I take the request off or leave it and see if someone can find them? Also, who are the Miler's that you found? They may be parents I could add.
You do very good photography work. Good job!
