RE: Siegmund Gnuschke

Also, I researched the *original* hand written records from Purdy And Kerr Funeral Home in Monroe, WA.
The person making the arrangements for Siegmund was "Otto Gnuschke" and Jan 7th is the date arrangements were made, not the death date which is unknown but most likely Jan 5 or 6.

They did not have his birthdate either.

RE: Siegmund & Maria Gnuschke

I also found Edward Gnuschke only 4 graves down, marked "Father" and recorded his pictures and GPS (inside the picture title).
Are they related? Found by accident.

What a shame the concrete marker was so damaged, but at least we know for sure their location - lucky that.

Hi, the Sultan Cemetary manager is on a 2-week vacation, so my fulfillment of the Gnuschkes might expire, but I'll get it, don't worry. She has a map that saves me a 3-hour hunt and I bring her cookies!

You are very welcome Hal. I usually fulfill these the same day as I have thousands of gravestone images stored on discs for St.Johns. However for some reason I didn't have this one so I needed to run over and take it - we have had snow cover so I had to wait for that to melt!

Glad I was able to help out.

Christian Newcomer
Hello Hal,

Since you are maintaining a memorial for the Newcomer family, I am assuming that you are descended from Christian through Calvin; is that correct? I am related (by marriage) to Ida (Jennie) Newcomer Thomas, can we correspond off line?

Looking for family member
Hello Hal,

During a search I found you once helped create site for Richard H. Rhoden MD. I am researching a historical building he once lived in and would like to contact any family of his that are still in the Fremont area regarding this.

I would appreciate any direction you could provide to me in tracing his lineage.

Thank you

Corrections have been made. Is she related to the Shipley family that lived in Bolivar? Fred Shipley was a part of a living history tour a few years ago.
