I was wondering if I could use the pictures you have taken for many of the Hilbert families? John Thomas Hilbert was my 3rd great grandfather. Let me know if you want me to send an individual request for each member. Thanks.

Tombstone Treasures
Anderson Long
Hello Paula,

I was going through the photo requests for Maywood Cemetery in Lewis County, Missouri and saw that you requested a photograph of the headstone of Anderson Long.

I'm sorry to report that if there ever was a headstone for him, it if gone now. There is a very large section of Maywood that is quite like an open field, and a flat memorial stone is in the center; it simply states a dedication and remembrance to all of those buried in Maywood Cemetery - it says "In memory of all those who rest in unmarked graves, Maywood Cemetery, est. March 28, 1890".

I live in Colorado and went back to Missouri on a genealogy trip to search for my kin in all the cemeteries I could get to in one week's time. Maywood was on my list and I was certainly hoping he had a standing headstone but there is none.

You and I are probably cousins of some sort - drop me a line if you'd like at:

epitaph.seeker@yahoo.com

Sincerely,

Patricia Long/Tombstone Treasures

RE: Parker Stones
Of course you may. That's what this group is all about. You probably have already noticed that I added inscriptions to the stone photos. So sad that this family lost three young children. You will also want to know the gentleman who lives in the house next to the cemetery takes great care it.

Happy searching,

Robyn

photo request for Catharine Diffenderfer
Paula, I've checked again for a marker for Catharine, and am unable to find a stone for her. I've added a photo to her memorial that shows, from right - left, Julia A C Diffenderffer, a space, John, Henry, & Margaret Diffenderffer. There are Grimm family stones in the next row back. Carol

RE: Elizabeth Tilley Sanders
Yes you may post any of my photos. I am doing the genealogy of the Crowder line from Pawnee, who came to Illinois with the Sanders. It was getting cold, so I didn't do more. There are many of them there. I will get back and take all the Sanders in that line when I can. That section of the cemetery isn't the oldest rundown, but is the next section. Many of the lots are by family....Crowder, Tilley, Sanders, Fawcett, etc..if you need anything let me know by email and I will be happy to help.

You may post any pics of your relatives, that I have taken, to your ancestry pages.

Re: Unknown Smith stone. I would have to know what cemetery you are looking in, I have some resources but I need the county and cemetery to look it up.

Krimmelbein
Paula,

As you may be aware, it is difficult to locate graves at Loudon Park without a location, since it is a very large cemetery. There are microfilm copies of Loudon Park burial records at the local LDS Family History Center, but they only go up to 1985.There are two options for obtaining the plot location:1. Contact the Loudon Park office directly at (410) 644-1900. They will do the first few look-ups for free. 2. Pay for Loudon Park to do the look-up. They charge $25 for 4 look-ups. For single look-ups contact me via my FindAGrave profile page and we can work out a way to bundle your request with others.

Best Regards,
Joe Canner

P.S. In the course of my research, I did find Leo Krimmelbein, Sr. and his wife Mary. Unfortunately, Leo Jr was not buried at the same location. I will be adding memorials with photos for them eventually. If you would like to do that sooner, let me know and I will send you the information.

Paula, I originally claimed this request in Zionsville cemetery. Someone else fulfilled your request without claiming your request, so I will "un claim" it from my list. Hope there is no confusion--but at least you got your photos!!

Samuel Ensminger
I went to Zion Lutheran Cemetery today, a very old cemetery and the older stones very hard to read. I found an area that was shaded by trees and hard to read but could slightly make out Ensminger on some, one with a Samuel but could not make out the dates, I see you are requesting two Samuel's born and died in 1796 and 1797. So I'm not sure where to add the photo or if you even want me to? Let me know what you think.
