Just did a search of all my records (obituaries, cemeteries, etc.). Unfortunately, no luck with your Benjamin.

Gideon Long
Do you know the location of the Cumpston Cemetery near Davistown, Pa? It is the grave site of Gideon Long

RE: Message regarding duplicate
No, it is not my family member. You could send a message to the other person who created the memorial and explain the situation to him. If it isn't his family, he might consider deleting his memorial, or you can ask for a merge.

The best way to get in contact with her would be thru the Pocahontas Times. They should be able to help you. Our parents are from Pocahontas County, WV and subscribe to the Times. That's how we saw the article. Best of luck...

Hey Jim!

Sorry 'bout the false start...

Please check out Mrs. Ratzer's memorial. We found an article about her in The Pocahontas Times, Marlinton, West Virginia with her picture and a recipe submitted by her great-granddaughter Louise Barnisky (your first cousin, once removed?). We thought you might enjoy it :)

Happy Holidays!

RE: William Thompson Core
I have Core's but I do not believe he is one of them. Rebecca Core (1857-1900) married William Loar, my great grand parents. She was the daughter of Barton Core (1820-1905) & Nancy Fleming. all from west virginia

RE: David Sisler
I have heard & seen that "Judge" name but it must have been dropped probably because of the confusion it generated or someone was calling him that because of his personality. I believe I have a copy of his birth certif here somewhere, and will check it out again if it is stated otherwise I will notify you.

RE: David Sisler
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. My grandfather was not a Judge, so I guess it was just a middle name which he eventually dropped as on any legal items he just had David Sisler. Such a common name as my cousin (David's grandson by his son) is also named David Sisler but I believe there is a middle name, which will distinguish the difference. I'll have to look at that again as he seldom uses it.

Teresa DePaul
RE: Unger, Steinkamp info request
Thank you for your reply. Copied below is the message I was referring to:
Hello Terri, My name is Jim Barnett. I have some Unger family members in my family tree, and I was recently contacted by an individual that found some pictures in a resale shop, with various Unger family members in them.

Her message read : "Hello! I have 14 photos relating to the Ungers who lived on "National Hwy" aka US 40 in Springfield, Ohio. Photos look to be from the 1940s to the 1960s. Most everyone is identified and on the back of one is listed: Joseph and Eliza Stevens Unger. Their children: Della, Alla, Kate, Jacob, Josiah, William, James. In other photos there is a Barbars Taylor and in others there are the Matusoff's and Steinkamp's. All the photos look to be taken in Sprinfield, Ohio. I found these at a resale shop in Dayton, Ohio. I would like to see them returned to a family member. Is that you? Let me know! Thanks. "

I noticed you have memorials for a couple Ungers, one in Dayton, and was wondering if you are family? I have not seen the photos yet, but some of the names match up to other memorials on findagrave, and those memorials show the individuals to have passed shortly after the turn of the century, which makes them older than she believed (if they are matches)

I know that it is dated, but was willing to join this site and check if it was possible to find out more information. I completely understand if nothing can be done now. Sorry to have bothered you, but your time is appreciated.
Thank you, Teresa

Hi, my name is Teresa (Steinkamp) DePaul. I came across an old message of yours back in Aug 2012 about someone having pictures of the Ungers on national highway 40 and Barbara Taylor, And some Steinkamps. All are relatives of mine, so I was wondering if it was possible to find out what may have happened to them or if ther was some one I could contact.
Thank you

I fixed the cemetery location - thanks for letting me know. I then transferred her memorial to you as you are distant family. Have a great week!

Thanks so much. That's good information!
I didn't know of Allen, but Dr. Lloyd Beerbower was well known.
I'll copy the text and save it.
Good luck with finding more.

Hiram Mitchell
If you find anything out on Hiram Mitchell I will be most appreciative. I have been told he was killed sometime around 1880. I have not been able to find any newspaper items about him. Thanking you in advance.

Laura J Presnall Mitchell
First of all, may I please have permission to add the tombstone pictures of Laura J Presnall Mitchell and her daughter Lenora Mitchell to my family history. Next, I have a favor to ask. Would there be anyway possible that a picture of Laura's husband and father to Lenora "Hiram Mitchell" who died abt 1880 would also be buried near by and would you be able to provide me with a picture. Thanking you in advance.

RE: Thank you!
I'm glad to help. I did see Rawlyn Barnett's headstone, which is in a lot adjacent to that of Charles and Bernice. I took a photo just in case he was a relative.
I just looked at the FindAGrave website and note that Rawlyn also has a memorial there. I will go ahead and add the photo there now. I don't have a lot # for his burial, but it would be Section D of the cemetery.

I've been trying to establish a link between a James Barnett (b.1856) and the Barnetts in Barlow Ridge or Pike County. James states he was born in Jackson County, OH. His mother is Elizabeth Jane Cassell and father Henry Barnett. I can't locate him in the census with his parents, nor can I locate his parents. The pic you have of Ambrose Barnett has an eerie resemblance to one of my family members. Do you have anymore pics?
I've been trying to establish a link for over 10 years...Any help is much appreciated!!!

RE: John Barnett grave photo
Hi Jim,
Did you say that the John Barnett you are looking for is buried at Old Buffalo Cemetery. Is that Hartford (Old Buffalo) Cemetery in Buffalo, Guernsey County, Ohio? If it is that's pretty close to me and I can go and see if there's a headstone there for him and if I remember there are some Barnett's buried at the other cemetery in Buffalo.

RE: John Barnett grave photo
Hi Jim,
All I have is what I wrote down to do my search with and that's John Barnett 1872-1955 buried at Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, Noble County, Ohio. Do you want me to delete this picture from the memorial ? Sorry about it being the wrong John but the only other Barnett headstone I saw was of a Charles and Molly Barnett at that cemetery.
