RE: Thank you!
I'm glad to help. I did see Rawlyn Barnett's headstone, which is in a lot adjacent to that of Charles and Bernice. I took a photo just in case he was a relative.
I just looked at the FindAGrave website and note that Rawlyn also has a memorial there. I will go ahead and add the photo there now. I don't have a lot # for his burial, but it would be Section D of the cemetery.

Dianna Hughes
I've been trying to establish a link between a James Barnett (b.1856) and the Barnetts in Barlow Ridge or Pike County. James states he was born in Jackson County, OH. His mother is Elizabeth Jane Cassell and father Henry Barnett. I can't locate him in the census with his parents, nor can I locate his parents. The pic you have of Ambrose Barnett has an eerie resemblance to one of my family members. Do you have anymore pics?
I've been trying to establish a link for over 10 years...Any help is much appreciated!!!

RE: John Barnett grave photo
Hi Jim,
Did you say that the John Barnett you are looking for is buried at Old Buffalo Cemetery. Is that Hartford (Old Buffalo) Cemetery in Buffalo, Guernsey County, Ohio? If it is that's pretty close to me and I can go and see if there's a headstone there for him and if I remember there are some Barnett's buried at the other cemetery in Buffalo.

RE: John Barnett grave photo
Hi Jim,
All I have is what I wrote down to do my search with and that's John Barnett 1872-1955 buried at Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, Noble County, Ohio. Do you want me to delete this picture from the memorial ? Sorry about it being the wrong John but the only other Barnett headstone I saw was of a Charles and Molly Barnett at that cemetery.

RE: Nelli Jones pictures
After looking at the dates, I came to the conclusion it is more likely that Carl Jones is Nellie's son, not her husband. I asked a friend to check and see if this is correct.

RE: Nelli Jones pictures
Her husbands name was Carl Edward Jones.

RE: Fanny Sims Memorial# 79262327
Hi Jim,

I may be able to make it back to the Cemetery this weekend to see if I find anything else. I have posted the large Sims marker and removed Fannie Sims Roberts photo.

RE: Fanny Sims Memorial# 79262327
Sorry about that. There are a lot of Sims in that cemetery but I do not remember seeing another Fanny. The one that I took a photo of is right near a very large Sims marker. I have that photo also if needed.

Margaret Clark
Thank you so much for searching for Margaret Clark's grave at Ogles Ridge Cemetery. I appreciate you taking the time to do that! Perhaps Margaret never got a gravemarker...Kory

RE: Lydia Long, Memorial# 59655198
I added two photos. Of the "Robinson" grouping, Lydia's stone is the low one in the middle. If you click on Lydia's stone pic a couple of times it will show the detail. Acid rain has taken its toll over 70 years.

RE: Lydia Long, Memorial# 59655198
I'm glad this works (finding relative links, etc.)
Lydia is my gr grandmother. Her first Husband was Milton W Robinson, my gr gransfather. He died around 1906. I knew she was married a second time, Wm H Ringer (1910), and a third time to ____ Long. I don't have the specifics, but that's about right.
Lydia lived mostly in Tera Alta, WV, just 10 miles or so from the MD border, so that would fit.
Lydia was born to Geroge S and Catherine Beerbower. Her mother died when she was abt. 2. 1860 census lists her living with her grandfater/mother, but that was normal since they all lived on the Beerbower farm in Preston Co., in the nort east corner just below PA and just west of MD.
There is a book "The History of Preston County" pub. about 1912, that notes a lot of the Beerbower family in the "Volume II."
"The House of Beerbower" family gen. lists Lydia as b. 8/28/1856, d. 1938. I think the findagrave dates are accurate based on other resources.
My dad left me some notes on the family (of course they are squirled away somewhere). I'll check sometime to see if he gave a first name for Lydia's 3rd husband.
WV archives has some good resources which I have checked in the past for any "Long," but was never successful in finding. If they were married in Garret Co. that would explain a no-find. Lydia died 1938 and outlived my grandmother.
I have a picture of Lydia's grave stone, but it was so deteriorated at the time, that I could only make out "Lydia B L" (my dad then said it was Long).
Guess that would make us step-cousins (of sorts)!

RE: are you related?
I happened to be near the courthouse at Westmoreland County today.

I looked up Daniel Carr for the time frame 1900 - 1905 and I did not find him. The log was hard to read. But I also looked and so did a clerk to see if he had a Will or something. Again nothing was found. Sorry, I was unable to help more

RE: are you related?
Sorry I don't have Albert nor can I read Daniel it is so worn out.

If I have to guess I would say Sept 30 1903
Don't think it is Sep 9 to much space between that and the year.

RE: clark
Do u know about when Thomas Clark came from Scotland? I do have a decentant with that name and came from Scotland. So u never know. Where I live in Pa is on the border of Pa and Wv and about 1 hr from Ohio. I live close to greene county so if I make it down that way to the cemetry, I'll try to look for those markers as well.

Added by heidi on Dec 02, 2011 6:46 AM

Hi I was wondering which line of Clarks u decend from? I'm a Clark also and from the PA/WV line.

You are right about trouble made me have to make a return trip was fun though and I visited 5 cemeteries without getting lost. My driver (my husband) wouldn't go back with me today so he missed out on the ice cream I treated myself to for enduring the 90 degrees!!!!

John and Viola Ratzer
Hello! Feel free to copy any picture I post. I placed the image on Viola's memorial around the same time I placed the image on John's site. Sorry to say, I'm no relative. I'll photograph graves based on photo requests alone. I have placed some photo requests for relatives clear across the country. I figure I'll return the favor. Good luck finding your relatives.
