John Wesley Williams
My ancestor, Nehemiah Williams, was born 16 Jan. 1815, in N. Carolina, & died 14 Feb. 1885, Jackson Co., KS. His father was named John Wesley Williams who was born in VA.

I was wondering if the John Wesley Williams (1856-1930)on Find A Grave could be connected to my Williams family?

BTW, I lived just over the mountain pass from you in White Sands Missile Range for 2 years while I was in the Army.

The wife and I used to make a run to LC every once in awhile when we could afford a night on the town and a What-A-Burger!

RE: Robert A. Williams
I suspect his mother's given is NANCY. 1870 Huntsville, Rockingham Co., NC, census pg 10, shows NANCY living next door to brother, DALTON. CATHERINE is shown living with NANCY. This is most likely ROBERT'S sister.

RE: William James Amerson
Dear Nancy, although I don't have a specific record for it, I have never been to Jack Co. Tx. I live in Beckham Co. Ok. I looked up the memorial and saw I had added the caption "This is in Wellington, Texas / South Fairview Cemetery, Collingsworth county" so I assume the original request may have been for a different location because I don't normally add a caption unless it is to say what the inscription says because it badly worn or that it can't be read. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I think I got everyone transfered over, if I missed anyone let me know.
The Beauchamps lived across the street from us and they were such a joy to be neighbors with. My kids probably played with you while you were here.
Take care

RE: Summerville
Josiah Summerville was the only father my grandmother Lucy Clementine Bradshaw Humphreys knew, since she was young when her own father died. From all I've been told, she loved him as if he were her biological father.

Her biological father, William Thomas Bradshaw, died after going to retrieve the body of a relative who was killed in the Civil War. It was a bitter cold January; he caught pneumonia, died, and is buried in the old Wilkerson cemetery in Graves County, KY.

AH HA! Her last name is Whitely! (I was looking under McCaslin!). YES!! That photo was in my mother's yearbook. I made a slide show for her 70th high school reunion and added some of the photos to webpages I manage. I think Estelle must have been a teacher in Pilot Point?
Feel free to use it! Glad you like it!
