Hi, I noticed that you have gathered all of the photos for this cemetery. I was wondering if you might have any contact information relating to this cemetery. I find it interesting because I have the same surname in my family from Illinois, but I have not yet found a connection to them. I will definitely be running some more research on the ones listed, but would love to find out there is someone in the area that would have some information to help.

Thanks!
JD

Danke Schoen for Thomes memorials
Just a quick note to express my heart-felt gratitude for both initially creating these two Find A Grave memorials & for linking them to their parents. It's always seems more complete when members of religious communities are connected with their early families too.

Vincent Starch
Hi,
I believe the Vinzenz Starch Memorial #54471780, who died 17 Aug 1867, doesn't belong to the Vincent it's attributed to. The Vincenz Starch whose second wife was Bridget, who he married after the death of his first, Agnes Nitsche, is buried at Chipmunk Coulee Cemetery, LaCrosse County. I see the 1867 Vinzenz is buried at Salzer Methodist Cemetery also in LaCrosse County. I don't know who that Vinzenz is, altho he's probably connected to the other one. But the Vincenz Starch Memorial #55767308 is the correct one to attach to Bridget's family, also created by Anonymous and found in the Chipmunk Coulee Cemetery "Grave Search Results". That gravestone has both Vincenz and Brigetta's names on it. All the best, Kent Smith

I have made the corrections per burial marker photo. The information I have is from the Woodmansee book (I have a copy), I do think there is a error on the name on the marker, but I changed it with a note on the memorial

RE: Buckendahls - Wheatland
Thanks for adding the article on the Buckendahl family. Such a sad ending for alot of the children.
I have found & attached all the children in the family to their parents. There were 10 children in all in the family (I believe). 2 were buried in other states. I have been unable to find only one son, who must have been the one buried in S.D.
I have him listed at Johann Heinrich Willam born 3/30/1886. His brother Gustave is buried in SD & lived until 1968. I have most of the Obits for the family, but nothing was mentioned about the children's death. Thanks for the info.

Although you are "Anonymous", I thank you for the photo of the marker for Cynthia Ann. It tells me she died very young, perhaps just days or hours old.

Ray Carothers
Nothing of him was ever found again. His grave next to his wife is empty.
Stevens Point Daily Journal, Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Friday, November 22, 1957, p. 11, col. 7.

Abandon Hope For Lost Hunter HAYWARD - The three sons of Ray Carothers, the 69-year-old Cornell diabetic missing in a heavily wooded area of Sawyer County since Monday, said today they have just about given up hope of finding him alive. They stopped the search temporarily and returned to their jobs. Carothers, who carried no insulin, has been sought since he failed to show up at a prearranged rendezvous at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lac du Flambeau River State Forest area. Sons Charles of Cornell, Merlin of Eau Claire and Walter of Durand have been searching daily for their father. Charles said he hopes to recruit volunteers and resume the search on Sunday.
