RE: Flemming
No, I don't have any more information on that line -- sorry. Thanks for your help with this too.

Thanks for the correction on the birthdate. To answer your question:

We have a letter that has been typed into a booklet called "Record of the Lynds of Ireland, and the Lynns of Tenn. (from there generations before 1769 to 1894). It was written by one of the grandchild of John & Martha Flemming Lynn (not sure which one). A cousin typed it later, in December of 1973. Regarding Catherine Henry Neely it says this: “Catherine Henry was married twice -- 1st to Mr. William Flemming -- they had one child (our Grandmother). Martha Flemming was b. ________ 1765. When a child, her Father died, and Catharine Flemming married Mr. Samuel Neely -- they had two sons viz, Samuel and James. Both sons (after their Father’s death) came to U.S. bringing their Mother with them. They lived in Stanley Valley -- I think they came in 1813 -- or 14. Catharine H. Neely died at her home in Stanley Valley, E. Tenn. Aug. 1828 -- was buried at the Meth. Ch. Grave Yard, Kingsport, Tenn. On her tombstone are the words -- “To die is gain.”

I am John Lynd's (Lynn) 3 times granddaughter thru his son Charles, then his son J.B Lynn, then his son Ward Gaines Lynn Sr. Am so glad this is so up to date. Has helped me tremendously. Am putting my geneology on the back of my tombstone now so my son and his kids don't have to go thru this again.

My Dad's first cousin (Lura Coleman) married into the Clise family. If you'd like to share info, please let me know, I'd like to put this together for my cousins.

RE: Fred W. Burbank
The folks at Evergreen are very helpful. There were a couple names from this list that I have not found yet. Will have to return to double check the other side of the marker. Some locations have names on both sides when the one location is shared. I have found other locations where additional names are not listed but records show them to be there.

Maria Morley
Good afternoon Susan: I am a descendant of Maria & James Morley. (Maria Morley/James Palmer Morley/ Walter Morley/ Howard Morley/ Betty Morley Spellman) I have been trying to find more information on Maria's husband James Morley to know for sure whether he died in US or England and where he is buried. I recently found Maria's obit while doing some research in Abilene, Kansas. Her obit is now on her Findagrave memorial. I know Maria's obit says that he "died here", but the "word of mouth" story passed down in our family was that he died in England on one of his trips back there. Thank you,
Linda (Spellman) Cunningham

RE: Mecum Flowers

Thank you for the reply. This all started as a search for the final resting place of Rosena Garnhart and spouse John Mecum. It has turned into a real adventure. It appears that John had married four times if you count Catherine Houdashelt as the first. It appears that he married a woman, first name Phoebe, following the death of Rosena Garnhart. A John Mecum married a Minerva Nelson in 1865 (could be the origin of middle name of Johnathan Nelson Mecum). It also appears that Minerva Nelson had been married to a Daniel Gilbert and had children. The relationship to the head of household can be seen in the later census information. In fact, Geo. W. Mecum, a son of John and Phoebe, married Minerva following the death of his father John.

This is all very interesting and is confused by them living in Michigan for a period of time. Nothing gives me a hint as to where they attended church and possible burial grounds.--Storres

This is in response to your flowers on the infant Mecum memorial, Find A Grave Memorial# 88099289 I am searching for Adam Porter Mecum, born April 19, 1840 in Muncy, PA and lived in Middlebury IN. He moved with his family, father John Mecum and mother Rosena Garnhart to Indiana in 1849. Do have any information that will help me locate this family? Any help will be greatly appreciated.—Storres
