RE: samuel stonecipher
hi, i take it you grandmother is not with us now and was she kin? you said notes were they in the bible or just loose? i find most times this info is pretty good. i know the Kelly farm is on the right cause i have some pictures of thier headstones that family sent me. i will see if i can contact them, i wouldn't take the information off the F.A.G. site just put a note where you got the information from and maybe it will jog someone elses memory. Susie Kries did a pretty good job in the reasearch but everyone can make a mistake. this is just another piece to a huge puzzle and i love puzzles. thanks J

Searchers of our Past
Joseph Goddard, Jr.
I looked in the records for Mrs. Rebecca [Goddard] Dossett from the memories of her descendants. Seems that her father died from blood poisoning and is buried near his wife. She remarried after his death. I've created a memorial for Joseph Goddard, Jr. and will transfer him to you.

Searchers of our Past
Joseph Goddard
I think the problem might be that Rachael Stonecipher was married to Joseph Goddard, Jr. It seems you sent me the link to Joseph Goddard, Sr. and that's who you have Rachael connected to as well.

Searchers of our Past
Rebecca Rachel Goddard Dossett
You asked me to link Joseph Goddard as father to Rebecca Rachel Goddard Dossett which I did. I noticed that Joseph died in 1825 and Rachel wasn't born until 1856, I'm going to remove the link.

It's possible that Rachael [Stonecipher] Goddard is her mother since she died in 1865, but I'm thinking that Joseph isn't the father of Rebecca Rachel [Goddard] Dossett.

Jones - Austin, TX
Hi Samuel,

A few things-

Loleta "Lola" Jones is actually buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Austin, Travis County, Texas (not Oakwood Cemetery). I've attempted to locate her headstone but I fear she doesn't have one. I will go out and look again soon.

In my quest to find Lola Jones in Evergreen, I found that she is buried in the same lot as a Mabel McKenzie, Alexander McKenzie, and Lloyd Ramey (I assume they are relatives). I will keep an eye out for their headstones as I look for Lola's.

Earnest Jones is buried in Oakwood Cemetery as you stated, however he is in what is called the "Colored Grounds," which are two very large plots of land with no lot division like the rest of the cemetery. I've walked both of these large plots and have not found a headstone. I will post photos of the lots so you can at least see the general area where he is located.

Please email me at longhornisme@hotmail.com if you have any other questions or need help locating other individuals.

-Leslie

Samuel, I'd be pleased to manage any of the Ellises, if you don't feel a familial tie to their sites.

Thanks,

Samuel, that is great! Would you be willing to share Leona's pictures? You can contact me directly at chillyrodent@gmail.com, if you want to.

I have a little bit of information back from Addie Belle, but nothing much about her sibs or other branches. I'd love to know more. I live in NYS, and I would be so grateful for help in photographing. I recently sent out a request for Addie & Joe's gravestones in Parish Cemetery, Orange. The transcription shows Addie as a "Burr" between a Burr and Joseph Stanton Ellis. I wonder if it's confusion in the stones, or what. It's hard to know without seeing the context.

Thanks again!

Dear Samuel,

I'm thrilled to see a picture of Berta Mosier Block; I've never seen one before. She was my great-aunt. Her sister, Addie Belle Mosier Ellis was my grandmother.

Thanks so much!

It was my pleasure Samuel. I am actually doing the whole cemetery now as it is only a couple of hundred stones. I have added several more Clarks you may want to take a look at.

Best Regards,
Mark

Lacy & Ann McKenzie markers
They may be there, but the record keeper at the parks dept. said they didn't have records for that far back in time. He directed us to an older sec. which was by a fenced-in area called Beth Israel. We looked around another Jewish sec., on our own, on Sun., and couldn't find it then either. We 'may' have overlooked it.

Sorry !

I'm thrilled to see the picture of Nellie that you posted; I've never seen her before. From your Web site, I see that you are related as well. I'm descended through her daughter Mary who married Noah Bailey. I would love to talk further on this family; click my name at left for my email address and Web site. Thanks.
