Hi Freddy,
Just happened to think. After you have posted the Dodson photos, would you please email them to me in higher resolution than is allowed on FindAGrave; if that is possible and wouldn't be too much trouble.

My email address is dbrown@pbmo.net.

Thanks again.

Freddy,
When you're in that vicinity again, would you mind taking photos of their tombstones and posting them on my memorials. I would sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Freddy,

I really appreciate you taking the time to check out the cemetery. It is so disappointing that you couldn't find Charles's tombstone.

It certainly is a big mystery. I'm waiting to hear from the ancestry member who posted his tombstone photo on line. Actually it was her daughter-in-law, who gave her the photo, so I have to wait until she hears from her.

I will leave him where he is for now and Caroline, too, until I learn differently.

Thank you for your help. It means a lot to me.

RE: Dodson & Morgan
Good afternoon,
This morning I received this information from Rhett Dodson:
On Sept. 15, 1830, Charles & Joseph L. Dodson purchased 50 acres from Thomas Sutton for $15. It was located in Allen County on Tramels creek.

Charles died on May 2, 1831. He was 84 years old. An Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots indicate that he was buried on the Cook farm near Trammel in Allen County.

The Dr. Cook farm is indicated on the map as being on Trammel Creek.
-----

I have also written to the Ancestry member who posted a photo of Charles's Tombstone in 1910 indicating that it was located in Cook Cemetery in a wooded area. Perhaps she can enlighten me on a few details, which I will share with you.

RE: Dodson & Morgan
Hi Freddy,
Thanks for getting in touch. It is my belief and that of Rhett Dodson that Charles Dodson is buried in a "Cook" cemetery in or near Frammel (Trammel), KY. This is indicated by the "Application For Headstone Or Marker" that shows it was shipped to the recipient in September 27, 1940 for burial in Cook Cemetery, Frammel, KY.

I have posted the application on his memorial. It is very possible that his wife, Lucy Caroline, is buried near him. Do you know of any other Cook Cemetery in the vicinity other than the Dr. Cook Cemetery? I will sincerely appreciate it if you take a look when you have time. It will mean a lot to the family.

This was my great aunt and I would like you to transfer her site to me. My grandmother on my mother's side was Mattie Ella (Hinton) Rather...so I am sure most of the Hintons buried at Red Hill are related to me in some way. Hope to find out more when I come to KY this summer with my relatives in TN.

Thank you,

Please ignore my previous message. I think I'm working too late and my brain left me awake all by myself.-lol Either way, I was reading my notes completely wrong & hit send by accident. My actual question was:

Your memorial says his parents were Henry & Emeline. I have documentation of his parents being Henry & Caroline (born abt 1814 in NC, maiden name unknown), but Caroline dropped off the census between 1850 & 1860. Trying to determine if his father remarried or if this is a middle or nickname for her? I can't seem to find anything on a second marriage.

Hello. I have a couple of issues.

First of all, my apologies. I apparently dup'd your memorial. Not sure how I missed yours because our dates are identical, but I will get mine deleted.

However, the second I'm hoping you can help with. The photo says James Henry & Emmalene. I'm trying to figure out who Emmalene is? I have him married to Lucinda E Wadkins in 1862 and still living with her as of at least 1910. The only thing I can guess is that Emmalene is her middle name that she went by? Any insight??

I realize you didn't post the photo but there doesn't seem to be any recent activity from the person who posted it. Just hoping you can help.

I added the link to her father that you sent, but there seems to be a typo on his date of death. Maybe 1857 instead of 1957?
