Jerry L. Lippincott
RE: Willis Lippincott
The furtherst back I can go, is to John Lippincott who married Mary Dillon in Adams Co, PA in about 1845. He was born in 1819 (State unknown) and died in Columbiana Co., Ohio in 1877.

Write me at "" and I'll send you pages back of info about that early family. We are probably just "shirt-tail kin" and beyond 6th or 8th or 10th or 12th cousins, just share a surname.

Regardless, I enjoy "collecting" any and all info I can find about "our" family since you never know where a clue may be found about your own lineage!

If you wish to transfer Elijah Campbell, his wife and her second husband, that would be fine. I appreciate the offer. #48000573.

Thank you for all you have done for Find A Grave.

I have forwarded a number of EDITS to you on memorials using the new format. If you go to your Profile page and click on the EDIT tab at the top, it will bring up a list of submitted EDITS for dates of birth and death and name changes. This allows you to approved EDITS more quickly. Since has purchased Find A Grave, there are more functions being developed.

Kirby Cemetery
My sister-in-law's grandparents are buried in the cemetery and I have been working on them. I have forwarded you a number of requests on their memorials as well as linking a number of their children to them. He was Elijah Campbell. I was raised not too far from the cemetery and drove by there daily on my way to and from high school. The cemetery is in Bell County, KY.

Samuel Russell & Susanna's tombstones. I have corrected the maiden name of Susanna and added this edit. Also I noticed I read the tombstone date wrong. Will try to fix my typing on the photo. I had typed what it looked like but Nov. doesn't have 31 days. Edit added:
Samuel Russell Sr. Married Susanna Mitchell Nov. 28, 1757. Their son Samuel Jr. married Susanna Martha Campbell on Jan. 23, 1792. Information from the History of the Town of Brookline page 602. Marriage of the son to Susanna Campbell from Brookline, NH. Town records page 76.
Thanks for catching this error. Not sure what happened on the maiden name. My records have what you see in the edit. Hope this makes more sense. Thanks

RE: Catherine Putman
Thank you for forwarding the information. I didn't initially recognize you from your Find-A-Grave ID.

I have uncovered a few new items regarding the Putmans which I'll send to you shortly. (I'm out of town and away from my records right now.) In the meantime, I'd love to hear what you've uncovered about Catherine's parents.

RE: Polk Cemetery
Grandma Putman is in the line with the rest of them, Horace and Catherine, etc. Perhaps she is Horace's mother? That would be my guess. I took those photos a while ago. I can look in the book to see if there is any more info there.

RE: Polk Cemetery
Yes the Polk Co Historical Society published a history book in about 1978 that included a list of burials in the county at that time. Do you need a look-up? I can check at the library, hopefully tomorrow.

You have left a note that my great-grandmother was a school teacher and attended Cooper Methodist Church (no location given). This is new information to me. Can you please tell me your source for this info?

You might also be interested to know that I have just received a copy of her official state death certificate which lists her cause of death as "apoplexy - was acting in a play and fell over dead."

Calmly Searching
RE: Photographs
I really appreciate your kind recognition of some of my photographs for the memorials on here. I am hoping someday to get back into strolling through cemeteries, and taking photos. With each cemetery, I was continuously trying to improve the quality of the photos, knowing that many of the loved ones of the deceased would quite possibly never get to go and place flowers on a physical grave.
Once in a while, it is just nice to be thanked. Over the last year, there seems to be more and more critical people joining Find A Grave. I think they do not realize the work the rest of us volunteers (contributors)do.
Thanks again, Wallen. Blessings...Phyllis
