|Kristie Moore||William H. Bowen|
Hi there Bonita, I see you are related to William Bowen. I too have a William H. Bowen on my tree who was married to Lydia A. but I wanted to make sure it was the right one. Was William's parents Dr. Ephraim Bowen and Gillian Johnson? Thank you very much.

|The Goldens||Hannah Harriet Patton Golden|
Hello Bonita--I saw on Hannah's memorial that she was your 4th great grand aunt. Do you have any information about her? She is our 4th great aunt too, but from her husband, Henry's side of the family.
I'm especially interested in her children. Do you know if she had a daughter, Mary, who married Cincinnatus Carder? If you can help us at all, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank so much!

|valpat54||June E. Valentine|
Hello Bonita -- I was recently at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and noticed the marker for June E. Valentine 1902. Then on Find A Grave I noticed you left "flowers" at her memorial and indicated that you are related. I'm curious, what is the story of June? Find A Grave indicates that she was born in 1902, but shows no death year. Yet you say that she was "gone too soon."

|Matthew D Friend||RE: Abraham & Sophia (Ervin) Cassel Tombstone|
Oh, okay! Thank you for letting me know. The children of Abraham & Sophia (Ervin) were based on two enumerations. 1850 showed Isabel, John, Samuel and George; then in the 1860 it showed John, Samuel, George, Ann and Eleanor. After Sophia died in 1853, Abraham married to Nancy Underhill and she had the last child, Eleanor. And then by 1870 I've found Samuel, George, Catherine Ann, and Eleanor, but not John or Isabel. Therefore, I believe Isabel died before 1860 and John died before 1870. It's possible he served in the Civil War. I need accessed to Fold3.com to view better records of the John Cassel there in Indiana.
Thank you again for your help.

|Matthew D Friend||Abraham & Sophia (Ervin) Cassel Tombstone|
I'm wondering if you have any photos of the possible inscription of the third side that you mention of two possible names on the same tombstone of Abraham & Sophia (Ervin) Cassel. I'm hoping that these two are the two eldest children of Abraham & Sophia, namely, Isabel Cassel and John Cassel. According to the census, Isabel was in 1850 but not 1860; and John was in 1850, 1860 but not in 1870. I'm thinking that John might have been a Civil War soldier but not sure. Anyway, can you tell me more about the "South side" inscription or have a photo of it that you can send? Have you tried doing a paper chalk scrapping?
My relations to this family is through the Ervin Family to the eldest daughter of Rev. John Ervin.
I hope to hear from you soon,

|Janet McBride||Covault/Coalt/Covalt Graves from Ohio and Indiana|
I would like to have any memorials from these families from Indiana and Ohio. They are my family but I haven't been able to travel to get these pics. If you can provide the pics or the numbers from Find A Grave that would be much appreciated.
If you need someone to maintain them I would be willing to do that too.

Thank you for transferring my Grandma Kunkel's memorial over to me. I wasn't expecting that but thank you very much!
I didn't know that about your great-grandma or great-aunt. I will make sure my sister knows this because she is the one that has the majority of the family tree in her computer.
I have been working on getting everyone's obit from Prairie View into the Find-A-Grave website and it is so interesting to read the obits from the early 1900's. They went into great details as to how that particular person passed away!
Have a great week,

Mary Snider Studebaker was my 5th great grandmother...so perhaps we are very distantly related!
Isn't tracing our genealogy amazing? I realize how many people I am related to, going back to the 1700's in the US. You included :)
Blessings to you and your family

Hello, Bonita -- it's amazing the things that can be discovered on findagrave.com and the internet in general! My husband also uses ancestry.com, researching mostly his lineage (Sharp), but also some of mine, paternal (Valentine) and maternal (Barney/Cain).
I also learned a lot after my father died from his cousin, Leo Valentine. Dad didn't really say much about his childhood and had very few pictures or mementos. Leo gave me pictures of W.V. (we called him 'Val') at different ages. He made me interested in finding out more. Up until his death in 1994, David and I would visit Leo & Bernice on Memorial Weekend, see great Aunt Myrtle, and go to the cemetery. When I was growing up, the only time we visited our Valentine relatives was at reunions and around Memorial Day (and funerals).
Did you or your mother know Leo? He lived on Rozella Rd., southern side of Warsaw, for many years. Also had a farm in Mentone before that. But I'm not sure where his father's farm was. I was too young when we visited Uncle Ott and Aunt Nellie to remember a location.
Thru ancestry.com I connected with Mary Jo Valentine who was married to Richard L Valentine, the son of one of my father's cousins (Ancil). She lives in Pierceton and Florida. She enjoys genealogy and gave me some pictures and other information.
Both my parents have been gone a long time, but it's nice to keep learning new things about them.
Well, guess that's enough to write for now. It is nice to 'meet' you!

I noticed that you left 'flowers' on my brother, Robert L Valentine's memorial page w/'3rd cousin'. I guess that means that I am also a 3rd cousin. I will also be buried at Mt. Pleasant-Claypool (not just yet!) My husband and I have had a grave marker installed to hold the spot. While I kept my Valentine surname, my husband's is SHARP.
My other brother, Charles A Valentine (1947-1975) is buried at a cemetery in Indianapolis, where we kids grew up.
You also left 'flowers' on my father Wallace (Val) Valentine's memorial page, 2nd cousin.

|Janet McBride||Covault Memorials|
Thank you so much for taking the time to put up these memorials. Many of my ancestors would have been much more difficult to find without the memorials being up, so thanks for what you do.
I have found the following memorials that are all the children of Jacob and Fanny (Hess) Covault. At least one is yours and the rest (so far) are jakesangel. Would you mind if jakesangel put all of them on their parents memorial and their parents and siblings on all of them as well. I will send a message to jakesangel to see if she will do this. I just wanted to get your permission since you put up at least one of them. If I find more I will also ask you about those by number as well.
This involves Find A Grave memorials for:
Jacob Covault #27135869 and his wife:
Fanny (Hess) Covault # ? also buried in Harford city Cememtery, Blackford Co, Indiana
Their Children: Sarepta #27135544 (current memorial says Babepta Covault, Sarepta is correct)
Fanney Covualt # 27135128
Elizabeth Covault # 27134957
Jesse B Covault # 27135045
Rebecca Covault # 27135001
It must have been just awful for this family as they lost all these children in 1859. There must have been some kind of illness going around at that time.
