RE: Leander S. Russell
You're welcome. It was kind of fun locating and photographing Leander Russell's gravestone in the middle of January. I make a priority of filling as many photo requests as possible, so that's why I didn't let the deep snow stop me from searching for that stone. As for not minding snow, the older I get, the more I despise the snowy winters; but snow is unavoidable here in Western New York, so I have no choice but to tolerate it.

Leander Russell
Although I knew roughly where it was located, reaching Leander Russell's headstone was a challenge in the deep snow. The stone was completely buried in snow, but after uncovering it I did the best I could to get a decent photo. Even though it does not meet my quality standards, I am posting the photo I took and will go back in the spring after the snow melts to get a better shot of it.

Find A Grave Memorial# 38672786

Your edit was for birth information of April 1895. However, his obit states he was 54 years old, which is a birth year of 1853.

I don't understand the discrepancy in years. Can you please explain? Thank you.

Margaret Critchlow Request
Hi Jennifer!

I live in Freeport and try to search for peoples photo requests on here when possible. I have NOT found Mrs. Critchlow's grave but I do have some questions regarding it. Is there any other family in the cemetery she could be buried by? Are you certain she's in Freeport's cemetery and not St. Mary's? Would you have an idea on what section or plot she may be buried in?

When she would have passed, the cemetery was where our Jr. High is now. The cemetery was moved to it's current location on the hill sometime in the late 1920's I believe? Freeport and St. Mary's cemeteries intertwine and both are VERY old with stones of death dating back to the mid/late 1700's and it's divide quite strangely. I'm hoping to make another pass here in the near future (I'm recovering from back surgery) and will double check. Sadly many stones have been damaged over the years due to back weather, falling trees and branches, and just plain old age. Others are extremely difficult to read, if able to be read at all. Just want you to know I'm looking for her site!

Thanks,
Will

You are very welcome. I occasionally go to Florida National Cemetery and take photos in random sections. It's always nice to learn that one of the photos was special to someone.

I see you have left me a correction for her. Do you know anything more about her. I sure would be interested as I have been trying to figure out is she is part of my extended family and who her husband would have been.

I would like a palm tree.
You are welcome as always!
The colors are beautiful this fall. Some of the maples still have all their leaves and the reds are prettier than they have been for years. Some of my hardier flowers are still blooming. Very unusual for this time of year, but I love coming home and seeing them. Have a great Sunday Jennifer!

You will need to tell the holder of Nellie to remove the parent links. I cannot. She is not my memorial.

Harlan's in Mill Creek
Hi Jennifer, Most all of the early stones in Mill Creek Cemetery are broken and or missing, most only have names, no dates. Those that remain are so covered with black mold that they are unreadable. I will try to get you photos.
Early records show that Alice was the wife of Stephen and daughter of David and Hannah (Smith) She was born 1-5-1778 and died 2-13-1837. She is buried in row 6 grave 3.
Rachel is buried in row 15 grave 13. She was the wife of Enoch and daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Osborn) She was born 9-12-1797 and died 3-4-1871

My email is rholly@indy.rr.com
