Johnathan Greenleaf
Hi Mary -

I believe the memorial for Johnathan Greenleaf (69525855) is a duplicate of another memorial that is attached to his wife Hannah Bugbee. Your death date of 1889 should be 1869 (see the dates on the marker). His birth year seems to be in dispute, and may be 1802 rather than the 1811 on the marker. Could you please take a look at this when you get a chance.

thanks -
Tim

I actually wasn't the one who went to the cem. I don't even live near there. I had requested a photo & that was the response I received. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.

Hi Mary,

I have made the change you suggested and also the birth date. I have also typed in the obituary so there will be a record. It would be better to delete the photo as it is against the rules of Find-a-grave. If you would like me to transfer, I would be happy to.
Have a great day!
Gail

RE: Sarah Mitchell Gerrish 1834-1901
In the 1850 census she is listed as "Sally", which would be a common nickname for Sarah. She was probably named for her Aunt Sarah "Sally" Byron.
Do you know anything of her Mother? I've not been able to find out just when/where she died.

Are your related to Sarah?
I suspect she is the Sally Mitchell born circa 1833, daughter of Robert Mitchell & Phebe Sawyer, from my family.
Thanks-

Hi Mary...as much as I would like to keep the original article on Memorial# 121092092 that you've posted, unfortunately it's against Find A Grave rules....so could you please remove it. I've seen Find A Grave wipe out "ALL" pictures posted because of improper use of newspaper articles...not fun.

I've taken the opportunity to retype the entire obituary although there were a couple of words I couldn't make out. If you wouldn't mind taking a look to see if you can make them out that would be great. I've used ???s to replace the names...thanks and thanks for all you do in Find A Grave it's very much appreciated....and thank you very much for this article. I only wish it would have given the names of all of his children....that would have been fantastic...thanks again.

Photos of obituary's are not allowed. If you read the FAQ's they say not to add them. I do have find a grave remove them when added to memorials I manage. Please remove it.

Regarding: Eliza Stowell # 98704490
Sorry but I only know what I glean from online records.
The suggestions to add the maiden name is based on the following:

I picked up the maiden name of "Littlefield" from the marriage record of son Samuel Stowell, Jr.
Groom's parents - image 2009.

RE: Thank You
If you are coming up Rt. 201, as you enter town take a left at the first light. Go up the hill and take the first right. The cemetery will appear on your left. It is a big cemetery. I photographed and entered all the stones that were in it, as well as almost all the cemeteries in Skowhegan (have to finish adding the memorials for Calvary Cemetery and then I will be done). The town also added all names to a database on cemeteryfind.com. Very helpful as the actual plot cards were scanned so you can see who is supposed to be in that plot, who owns it, even sometimes how and where they died. Aerial map of the plots and their exact location as well.

Good luck!
Gail
