RE: Zimri Smith memorial
Many thanks for the advice and for taking the time to explain so thoroughly, Will. Much appreciated. If you have the occasion to revisit the memorial, you'll see that I cut-and-pasted your entire message so that others will understand the issue and have the benefit of your wisdom and experience in your own words. I've seen mysteries like this before too. I always think transparency is best, so this solution seems to me the best of both worlds -- folks can see exactly what the death certificate says and understand exactly why it doesn't seem right to you. We all need reminders that death certificates aren't always right, of course. P.S. noting your place of birth brought back memories of when I spent an overnight or two at Franklin College back about 1956. I was a high school student in Indianapolis, and there was a workshop for high school journalists at the college. I don't doubt that I learned a thing or two, had fun, and thought it was a nice way to show off the college. Thanks again. - Jay

RE: Charles & Emma Martin
I sure know what you mean by shadows and a lot of people take the picture and you can really see them in the results. Really spoils it. Especially when they have that very shiny surface. Your idea is a good one.

Thanks. I seem to have a knack for seeing things others don't see. lol. But when I saw that I thought you had a reason for taking them on an angle like that.

I think you have posted the pictures backwards. Since you took the pictures on an angle I would presume the name closest to you would be the same person as the memorial. So on the one with Emma, Charles name is closest and on Charles' picture Emma's is the closest.
Thought you might want to switch them.

Margaret Ann Smith Adair
I have been very fortunate in obtaining pictures of many of the lines that I research. I wish I could find one of her brother, Thomas C. Smith who is my great-great-grandfather.

That's great! I'll make memorials for Marshall's parents and request photos. Don't know who Delbert is.

Thanks for the info.

RE: Constable Photos
Thanks for all your help. Would Earl and Lottie Constable be two that you may not have added? Earl is the son of Emerson and he and Lottie had a big family. They lived in Hamilton Co., so they may be buried there.

Martha Motsinger

I made another listing for "YOUR' Martha. There are 2 in that cemetery.

You need to move the photo to the correct one.

The other Martha is correct according to the Cemetery BOOKS.

Have a good day.

James B Kilgore photo & record

Thank you so much for the gravestone photo of James B Kilgore and especially for including the hospital record. I am trying to find a connection between James and the family of Elizabeth Blaine Kilgore Long, my 3rd great grandmother (an unknown Kilgore was her first husband and John Long 1805-1879 her third husband. John was my 3rd great-grandfather.

The hospital record provided me a couple of clues that I didn't have before and I appreciate the extra effort you made. If I can ever help you with any surnames or hisstory here in Belmont Co, OH please let me know

Would you give me permission to use your photos of headstones you have taken of our family as I am working on my own genealogy and family tree? I appreciate all the effort and work that goes into this project of grave finding ( having recently volunteered myself). Please let me know and thank you ~ Eva
