Burials
I think it is terrible that you aren't able to list people with out burial sites just maybe some family member is out there that knows just a thought I have two that I listed with no burial. One I am sure the cemetery was plow up by a farmer and the other one the daughter took the ashes and she has no idea what she will do because of cost. Thank you for your hard work.

Joseph E. Rynkiewicz memorial
Bob,

Thanks for the update andphotos. I made the change to Joe's memorial and cemetery. Seems as he is the only one from the family buried there!

RE: I transferred
Robert,

Thank you for all your effort on this. I see that my grandparents are transferred over to me but I do not see where I can add my father as one of their children.

Can I create a partially filled out bio for my father to link to this and then you can add the picture if you have one? Or would that make it harder for you?

Thanks,
Mike

Mrs. John Snyder lost angel found
Her name is Louise HAAK Snyder. She was born abt. 1856 in PA. married John Snyder son of Lewis Snyder/Schneider...she had at least 7 children and died young from diabetes. I have lived on the west coast most of my life and came to visit in Pa. Several times and each time searched for her gravesite and my grandfathers. My last visit was in 2008 and at that time I was able to locate my great grandfathers plot with his Civil War marker but realized there was a space between graves with unanswered questions as to who was buried there. Without your work I would not have been able to locate her...Thank you seems so small compared to the gift you have given me today...If you have any more info would you please contact me at my email address. I would love a copy of anything you can send me. Thank you again for caring.

You
I just wanted to offer you my personal thanks for your work on the "Lost Angels". I do believe that I found a link to a family member for one of your angels. I am very saddened that you won't be able to continue the work.

Do you suppose that if enough users of Find-A-Grave requested that you be able to continue your great work, that they (Find-A-Grave) might have a change of heart? It might be worth forwarding this and all other related emails to them.

Again, thank you so much. I think you have help solve a 30 year search for a relative.

Sincerely,

Debbie

Appreciate that...thought maybe I had a solution of sorts to your dilemma. You've done this site a great service. If it helps one person it's worth it, right? A Very Happy Healthy New Year to you and your's sir! Thank you.

Thank you for posting this burial information. I added some family link to the memorial.

I'm sorry there's no solution to your unknown burial problem.

Maybe there's a way to upload all of that to Ancestry?

Leaving
I am so deeply saddened to see you go. You will always have a special place in my heart for all the souls you have cared for. I sure you have masses of souls watching over you. May God bless you in all you do. You will be missed.

Dando/Geary
You have been such a tremendous help in my research. I wish that an area could be made where the information exist without the burial spot. Sort of like a limbo. That way you would have some info and if at a later date the burial spot is found you could just request an edit process. Very frustrating such knowledge to be lost what a shame.
You are such a kind soul!! Every memorial I have accessed that you created you have taken the time to leave flowers not only but more than once. Thank-you for the transfers you have granted me. I will try to get though my data base and request all the Geary/ Dando / Rishar's etc. If you are really leaving you will truley be missed.

Your body of work
Bobby,

Thanks for your work. Just brainstorming to help you - not in any particular order.

I think what you are describing is an index to obituaries - not sure of your content. This has a lot of value to researchers and also some commercial competition.

Since Ancestry.com acquired findagrave and some newspaper repositories, is there any chance your bulk data could be hosted on ancestry.com in some kind of publicly accessible database?

Others that might host your database or may be interested include genealogybank.com, fold3.com and there are several more that compete for subscribers, usually researchers.

The next thought is to approach your local library, historical groups and archives and bequeath your work to one or more of them as a research tool for others doing local research. If you give them the rights, they could then publish your work as a finding aid for researchers. You may ask that your name be included in the acknowledgements in any publication of your work or any derivative work.

Finding My Dead
Sad to see you go
Hi Robert,
I just saw a message that you left elsewhere that said you will soon be leaving Find-A-Grave. I am saddened to hear the news; this is a great loss. Your obituary database and memorial creations have been very helpful in my search to find and visit the graves of so many relatives. Your work was especially helpful before I moved to Northumberland Co. and made the multi-hour trip; it was nice to not have to blindly wonder around hoping to find my people. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work over the years, it has been greatly appreciated. -- Thank you, Lisa.

I would want my relative posted ~ I come across many that prefer to have their burial kept private. I have had other contributors who have been helpful in providing the burial information, which I deeply appreciate

Child Ayres
Robert, who is Road Runner? And she asked for my personal email address which I gave her because she said she was going to send an Obit for Eleanor Adams - which she then never sent? What is the deal with her? Thanks. Simone.

Child Ayres #85200793
Hey Robert, I have a person questioning whether Child Ayres memorial #85200793 is an authentic memorial. RoadRunner believes this is actually a duplicate to memorial #89623098 for Alfred Ayers (1878-1896). Do you have any documentation, etc. to confirm? Let me know. Blackcat13
