Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to get the photo og his grave stone. It's disturbing about the date of death difference. The date I posted was taken directly from the death record. And as far as I can tell, no township trustees to contact about when the stone was set.

I want to thank you for the photographs of my ancestors tombstone. It is one of two family members I did not have from this cemetery.
The other request is still pending and I am hoping that this tombstone will be found and photographed as well.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to full fill my request. I cannot make the long trip to do this myself.

|SarahTX||RE: Jean Schaefer|
I wish I had an answer for you on why the Schaefer's have two different headstones. I didn't take notes when I took photos and can see now that would be helpful for you. I just noticed they weren't listed on Find A Grave and wanted to include them. My only guess would be that one stone is at the foot of the grave. I have seen some graves that have a stone with both wife and husband, then a second stone at the foot that is a military stone.
I have not seen an obituary for them either. I am happy to transfer the memorials to you if you'd like since you know their family.
I wonder if you'd have any luck contacting the cemetery directly. I had one in south LA give me a copy of an obituary they had on file. They may also know the reasoning behind the two stones. If I lived near Shreveport, I'd follow up myself. I'm just not sure when I will be back in that area again.

Hi Carol, Thanks for adding the info to her memorial. As to the transfer, it's not really necessary as she was a 3rd g-aunt. I leave it for someone else to claim! ;)
