RE: O. C. Conn Headstone Photo
Hi Patricia,
I will contact Find a Grave on this matter. I believe that this is the correct way to handle it. If I remove the photo and then submit another request, it is likely that she will do the same thing.

Thank you for the heads up,

Terry Dorough Fogleson

Hi Trish,
You said you found some other children that died 5 days apart. If they are named maggie e. nix and barto l. nix then they are already in Find a grave with photo. If those are not their names please yes I would like them.

A big Thank YOU
Patricia,

Thank you for the great picture of the ds. It had the names of their parents on the stone and so I was able to confirm that they were my relatives. So that really meant a lot to me.

Please remove the picture of Mary "Polly" McGee Green (Memorial# 43905062) head stone, as I already have a higher quality picture on her memorial.

Patricia,
You go ahead and do what you need with the photos. I have so much on my plate right now. I am in hopes that things around my house will calm down with in a few months. I have had to put all my projects on hold since Jan 28th. Oldest son had colon surgery and had to have whole colon removed. Which in turn is not working because of the recuperation period is 3 months. We had to move him and his wife back into our tiny little house and it has caused me not to be able to continue what I wanted to do.

Thank you so much for the photo of Virgil Loyd's headstone. These are relatives on my father's side. Unfortunately I never got to know my relatives on my father's side. But now I am doing a very extensive tree on ancestry.com. I hope to soon get over to Texas to visit some of the distant cousins and visit the cemeteries.

Thanks again.

How so? Find A Grave says you must own the copyright. If the original copyright holder surrenders his copyright, and make the photo public domain, every owns the copyright.

While it may not be "cricket" to accept credit, she is posting a photo that holds the rights to.

From my perspective, I'm pleased not to have to drive the 40 miles to take a photo and "re-invent the wheel", so to speak. Whenever I am in the Decatur area, however, I often shoot an upgrade. In the grand scheme of things....Big deal.

No copyright violation for Millie. All photos on the Wise County website have expression permission from the webmasters.

Her only violation is one of propriety

My mistake thanks for writing I don't know why I requested the picture unless it was found after the request which is what I think I did.
Thanks Ken

L V Seely
HI Patricia,

First, thanks for posting pictures of the L V Seely memorial and posting.

As for the pictures posted by the other person, if those are taken from another site, I think your best bet is to contact the Find-a-grave administrators directly as they will be best able to address and stop the issue.

If you can show the links where the originals reside that should be evidence enough for the admins to address.

Regards,

Russ

Thanks Very Much for the Photo, and Happy Valentines Day. I used to work with a Young Man Years Ago in Fort Worth whose last name was Funderburg. Terrible now that I cant even remember his first name, but he was really a nice guy. We're talking like 43 years ago.
