Eichelmans in Green Ridge
Thank you for the pictures in Green Ridge. Evelyn was my mother's favorite cousin, and we knew them well. Did you see a marker for Juliana, Bernhard's wife?

Thank you so much for going beyond the call of duty, not only fulfilling the original photo request but making it possible for Richard to be "reunited" with his mom.

RE: Bardens in Greenridge

Eva Ann Holcomb Barden is Richard's mother. I wasn't aware she was buried in Greenridge and thought she'd be with her husband, John Thomas Barden [wherever that might be].

RE: Elijah Twining
That single corner piece has bothered me for years. Elijah is the one who brought the family to Tolland, so not great when there is no stone. I tapped down with my trowel, then removed dirt and grass. There he was, exactly as the cemetery transcription stated. My trip from AZ was worth it.

FYI: The mystery of the corner piece of Elijah's stone has been solved. Take a look at the stone I unearthed yesterday in Twining Cemetery.

RE: Grey children
Hi, Mary! I could see that you care about these children! I am the same way..hate to see babies or children buried without any other family there - I always work xtra hard to try to locate the parents - I came upon these children by accident - I am a genealogist linking everybody in Sherman Co, NE, and was working on Alexander Holmes Gray - discovered where his parents, James and Ann, were buried, then looked for their children - they were the only James and Ann Gray in Kenosha during that time frame - I was looking for Katie (b. 1858) and Johnnie (b. 1862) and found your Katie and Johnny, but the dates didn't match - rechecked censuses for their birth years - then read your notes about parentage, and it fits, but I have no proof...the birth years of your children fit perfectly with the gaps between James and Ann's children, and again, they were the only James and Ann there - it was not unusual to re-use a first name back then..anyway, up to you if you want to link them...thanks so much for your work!!! :) k

I'm very sorry I couldn't find anything for you. I understand that you can find tombstones for people not listed as being there. Have had that situation myself. I still feel bad when I cannot locate a loved one for someone.

William Barnabas Twining
I see that the Civil War bio for son William Barnabas has not appeared on the memorial yet. Did you want me to request from Mark Wing? No problem, as I would just be copy/pasting the bio that is on the Father's memorial. If you have requested, and are just waiting, Mark will post, it just takes a little time sometimes.
