"May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?
Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. Please select the option for "Other" in the "Type of photo:" to be added, as it is not a Grave, Person or Family photograph. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data). [Top]"
Where did you see something to the contrary???

I'm not sure why it sent 4 copies of the SAC to you, but it was a system error.

|Paul Arthur||RE: Dickson-Dobson Cemetery|
I was able to find the Dickson-Dodson Cemetery at last and it was an adventure!
It's located in the woods surrounding a cow pasture behind the cow pasture's owner's house.
Even though the Marshall County Library tried to help me with the general location, they sent me down the wrong road. Fortunately they put me in touch with an individual by the name of Bobby Mitchel that helped survey the cemetery about 30 years ago. He couldn't give me an exact location but he did get me on the right road and after stopping to ask directions from a neighbor I was led to the right location. The cemetery is in really sad shape with many broken stones and others knocked over and lying face down. The fence is down and cows have been wandering through which may be why so may headstones are knocked over. I wasn't able to find either of the William Woods you were looking for but I did find M.F. Woods and his son Adolphus Woods. I uploaded their pictures to their respective memorials. I also uploaded a picture of the cemetery to the Dickson-Dobson Cemetery link and included the GPS coordinates.
I'll take another look for both William Woods when the weather improves. Today was very cold windy and cloudy and I didn't take the time to lift up some of the stones lying face down. There are also many stones standing that might be more readable when the sun is shining.

I planned to take pictures of the Woods headstones you requested in Dickson-Dobson Cemetery in Marshall County MS however I have been unable to come up with an exact location of this cemetery.
If you have any information regarding the location of the Dickson-Dobson Cemetery please reply here or directly to my email address which is email@example.com.

One death certificate shows a 1915 birth and another shows a 1910 birth. Since he was 5+ years old, I would think the 1910 date is correct.

Dear Luayne, Thank you so very much for the transfers of the Brod memorials. I sure do appreciate your kindness. Monty Williams

Dear Luayne, I believe you may have transferred a couple of memorials to me in the past. Since I have retired, I've had a lot more time to dedicate to family research. So, I would like to ask if you would please consider transferring several more to me so that I can link them all up and add comments to some. They are all Brods, related to me through my grandmother, Elizabeth Brod Doree. They are L.B. John(69754746), Bernice K.(69754833), Donald L.(75697720), Emery Nick(69664091), Wanda N.(75697773), Lillian S.(75559082), Ervin J.(75559136), Thelma(76547521), Jason Lee(75697916), & Kirk Lee(75897866). I would very much appreciate these transfers, if you would be so kind. Thank you. Monty Williams.

I have never run a Find A Grave page. I have only found missing people, and sent their info to the person who is maintaining their page.

|David Clay||James and Martha Hite Jones|
Contact Lee Hite about the Jones Cemetery. Since he first added the family members, he may know the location of the cemetery. If he cannot help, try locating the Jones farm since the cemetery was probably on their land. Also, you will need to delete one of the James Jones memorial pages. The person I added to the Jones Family Cemetery probably does not belong there as I doubt there have been any recent burials. Lee is your best bet since he is familiar with the Hite family history.

Hi Luayne Jones Pierce,
I have transferred Fannie H. Reeves Carrington to you. I updated some of Fannie's information and I'm sure that you can add more. There is still more relatives out there that need to be connected. I have three branches in Austin's "old three hundred" who were living in Washington and Burleson Co. Texas in the ‘old days'.
Take good care of Fannie.

No problem! Happy to help, and any transfers you want, I'll be glad to give them over - I am not related to anyone buried in Brenham.
Re: the plot map - I am as we speak (type?) working on making a clearer version of the map that the cemetery had on their website (which now seems to have disappeared.) I will upload it to the Prairie Lea Find A Grave page when it's done, and will also email you a copy. :)

Hi, No I am not family. I saw her obituary and wanted to make sure she was memorialized in Find a Grave. Saw that you were taking care of her and thought I would send you her obituary.
BTW, thank you for all of your hard work! Without volunteers like yourself, I would have never found so many of my family members! Take care, Dawn

|Coastal Dweller||Mistaken identity|
Luayne, I think you're mistaking me for someone else. However, if you look on my "Tree of Life" you will find a LOT of info on Scott Morris and his family, because I spent months researching them. I also had the good fortune to begin corresponding with some of his great-grandchildren. I have a photo of Scott already posted to my tree, and a pile of other documents and photos about him and his descendants that have yet to be scanned. Take a look.
