RE: Holp Cem
You are doing a great job on Holp. I appreciate it greatly. I know what you mean about being at some cemetery to take photos if it wasn't for it being so cold. For me it is like trying to find a treasure chest.

If it wasn't for volunteers like you, a lot of the gravestones would be lost or unreadable and we would never know what was on them. It is a way of preserving family history. The records alone just don't see real enough. But a photo for some reason does. I love it when people put photos of the person on the gravestone or post them on the memorials. It is nice to put a face with the name.

Thank you for being so kind and understanding about the photo mix up. I try to do too many and I get tired and make mistakes. I need to slow down and do a little at a time.

Thank you Jean for all you do. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.

RE: Edith Smith
Thanks Jean! I deleted the photos. I apologize. I must have clicked on the wrong name when I added it. I should have double checked it. I see you had posted a photo on Ethel's. Thanks for doing that. If you see any other mistakes I have made let me know. I appreciate your help.

I have been doing the same thing with Ashland, Bellefonte, Rose Hill, and Golden Oaks cemeteries in my area. Have them all photographed and Ashland and Bellefonte uploaded but keeping getting distracted with the rest. But I do answer all the requests when they are made.

Thank you, Jean Powell, for photographing the grave of Barbara Noe. I really didn't expect a response to the request. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased.
I have learned to really like the findagrave website.

I grew up next the cemetery in Gratis, OHIO. People used to ask "aren't you scared living next to the cemetery?" Heck no!

Anyway, thank YOU.

RE: Wayne Bell
Thank you Jean for the information. I had been to Slifer to do some photo requests. I know what you mean about the difficulty of reading some of the stones. I am amazed that some of the older ones are still readable, so many are not.

If I get a chance, I will try to contact someone at the church to see about the records for the cemetery. Thank you for your help.

RE: Wayne Bell
Jean, do you know anything about the Holp Cemetery? I have found that some interred there have death certificates that say they are interred at Slifer. And I know they are at Holp.

There is a memorial for Vernon T. Leis at Holp (Find A Grave Memorial# 81951596) and one at Slifer (Find A Grave Memorial# 70247142). Do you know what is done in that situation?

I appreciate any feedback on that. Thank you!

Thank you Jean. I will try to work on it some more this week. Sounds like you have got your work cut out for you with entries from both cemeteries. What a sweetie you are. I appreciate all you do for Find A Grave. It really helps people with their family genealogy.

Thank you for all you do.

RE: Wayne Bell
Jean,
I have already put on what I have for sections 1, 3 & 4 and am working on section 2. I have the L's through Y's to do yet. Do you want me to put on what I have, or wait for you? Either is fine with me. If there are any photos that I have added that you may have a better photo of, let me know which one(s) and I will delete mine.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

RE: Wayne Bell
I appreciate you cleaning the records up. It really helps a lot. I try to check before I put them on, but I have caught some that I did where the name was put on differently than what was on the gravestone and I went back and deleted them and added the photo to the memorial, but I may have missed some...I hope not.

I am not sure why I put Wayne's on, because I remember seeing him listed. I must have been tired and not functioning on all my cylinders. I am glad you caught it. Let me know if I duplicated any others. I will try to double check when I put others on. I am almost done with the Holp Cemetery with the photos that were sent to me. I have some that I want to go out and take photos of again because their spouse has passed since the other photos were taken.

If there are any that I have put on that you need transferred to you, let me know. There are only a few that I have that are directly related to me.

Thank you for all you do.

Thank you so much Jean for pointing out the duplication. I deleted mine. I apologize for the error. My eyes must been going cross-eyed entering them. I appreciate you catching that for me.

Have a great week!
