Charles C Jenks #64538792
Hi David,

Just wanted to let you know about a calculated relationship problem. Charles Carlton Jenks #64538792 is buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan, as is distant relative Cyrus Jenks #81035555 where the find a grave listing has them as a calculated father and son.

Charles Carlton Jenks (1854-1923)is actually the son of Bela Whipple Jenks #37049089 of Saint Clair Michigan. Bela's obituary in 1897, posted on his find a grave listing, mentions his son Charles C of Detroit.

Cyrus Jenks' son is Charles Carroll Jenks (1824-1887) who is buried at Oak Wood Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois, but I have not been able to find any find a grave listing.

Hope it helps.
Thanks for all your thoughtful work!
Lanie

Vivian Shelby
Hi David!

I have been to Monument Garden at Sparkman HIllcrest on four different occasions looking for Vivian Shelby's marker. On one of those trips I had a Family Service Counselor for Sparkman Hillcrest and a grounds keeper for Sparkman Hillcrest with me. We could not find a marker for Vivian Shelby.

As I mentioned earlier, there was possibly a disagreement between Vivian and her children about where to bury her. If she is indeed buried at Sparkman Hillcrest, then she has no marker and her temporary marker has disappeared.

I'm sorry I could not find her marker for you. I will leave it up to you to remove the request.

Vivian Shelby
Hi David! I am having trouble finding Vivian Shelby. I was told she was buried in Monument Garden but after having been there three separate times and not finding a marker, I'm beginning to think there might not be one.

I have a friend who works at the cemetery and he says he remembers something about a disagreement between Vivian and the children. My claim to getting the picture is going to expire but I will continue to see what I can find out.

A smallish favor?
Hi David,

You added a memorial for John G Boyd who is resting at Elmwood Cemetery in Plot: Section O. His Find A Grave Memorial# is 68118261

His wife is a cousin of mine and I was hoping (if she's buried next to him... I can't find any record of her re-marrying.) you had or could snap/upload a pic of her stone.

Her name is Electa Boyd (nee Aylsworth) and she lived 1874 1970.

Thanks!

Julia and Zachariah Seeley
Her memorial is: 11186743. He's buried here too. I'm hoping you will post your photo on the memorials I created for Julia (Moon) Seeley and Zachariah Leon Seeley in this cemetery. Laura is inactive and making edits is had when someone isn't there. I'm hoping Find A Grave will either transfer or delete her entries, but in the meantime if you could post your photos, or allow me to copy and paste your photo into these entries even though my name will then appear as photographer. Whichever is easier for you. Please advise your preference.

HENRY MAYBURY
Henry died on 14 May 1900. I have an article to confirm. Would you be kind enough in changing the year.

The article states he was born in Cork, Ireland in 1809 and came to Detroit in May 1823. He married Miss Anna Echlin. He was survived by one living son and three daughters. The obit only mentions one name: Mrs. Mary C. Berkery. Her memorial is 65560604. If you would like the article, please send me your email and I will be happy to provide.

This family has a connection to my Shea ancestors from Cork, Ireland.

Thanks much
Kathy

Christie Trapp
Zachariah and Julia Seeley Memorial
11186743 - this is one of the memorial #'s that has your photo posted.

Laura is no longer active and I'm going to be asking Find A Grave to remove these two memorials since I added mine. You have grave photos posted on Laura's entries that I would like to have you transfer to my entries of the same name or will you give me permission to just copy your photo and add to my entries even though it will then have my name as the photo contributor rather than yours.

Let me know either way. My contributor # is 46970309. These names are in the Pine Lake Cemetery in West Bloomfield, MI.

Thanks.

Could I have permission to use your photographs of the grave markers for Leo and Emma Hect and their son Vernon, located at Commerce Village Burying Ground, in a family history that we're preparing for publication? Only 50 copies will be published, all for family members. Of course, we would give you credit as the photographer.
Thanks so much for taking and sharing these pictures!
Sincerely,
