RE: Gower's
I read it as six months and sent in a correction. If the monument hadn't been hiding in a huge yew bush, we'd know for sure!!

You can post anything of mine but yes I would like credit. Looked around for that other unmarked grave on map just in case of Mistake but didn't see any marker.

RE: Don Arneson
Yes, you are correct. The name is Donald (memorial #128070240) rather than Douglas.

Feel free to delete the photo after you have viewed it.

Cheers! Steve

RE: Maxine Arneson
You are very welcome.

I'll watch for the headstone to be erected, and when it is I'll get a photo for you.

Don't know if you have any interest, but I shot a photo of Maxine's gravesite which also shows Douglas' headstone. I don't know your email, and I didn't want to post it to Maxine's memorial (which would cause your photo request to disappear.) So, I decided to post it to Douglas' memorial and will delete it in a day or two after you've had a chance to see it.

Albert Schmidt Related...
I thought my relative, Albert Schmidt, was one and the same with your Albert Schmidt because they have the same birth year and immigration year and the Ship WESTPHALIA in common. But then I read Fredericka's Bio; my Albert Schmidt (1868) DID NOT have a brother named Herman.

"Frederike was born Klein Wustenfelde, in the Jordenstorf Parish of AG Teterow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin Germany. She was the 2nd of 4 children. Her family immigrated on the Ship WESTPHALIA from Hamburg and Havre to New York on 9 Nov 1881. They settled in South Elgin, IL. She and her sister Alwine "Rene" met two Schmidt brothers, Albert and Herman and were married. Albert and Rekie had 7 children, 2 were stillborn which left 1 girl, Mabel, and 4 boys William, Edwin, Leo and Albert."

All the German Birth's and Baptisms of Albert's siblings and parents are on my public Ancestry.Com Tree.

Use my direct email address for further communication please. It is listed in my Find A Grave profile page.

No relation. I was chasing down a Clara Rasmussen Duffy married to William Duffy in or near Chicago. I was unsuccessful. Although that didn't pan out, I spotted this link and had to let you know. Thanks for what you do.

RE: Eligah Gilliam
Yes, there is a clearly-marked Section 24 in Whitehall Cemetery with many graves even earlier.

Old Whitehall Cemetery does not seem to have room or need for 64 sections, and is a remote cemetery out in the range with mainly family burials.

Just a guess, though, best to check research. What source gave you the Section and grave plot reference?

RE: Eligah Gilliam
We went to Whitehall Cemetery afterwards, and after seeing the section and grave reference I strongly suspect Mr. Gilliam is buried in that cemetery rather than where he is listed. I still found no marker, but the graves in Section 24 with dates ranged from 1909 to the 1950s. I took some pictures and will get them organized a sent when we're home and see what you think.

I made the corrections you requested on the Tadych/Toddy graves...if you want any of them transferred to you, please let me know--I no longer do any research on that line and they are not relatives of myself, just my children.

Cleveland Calvary Requests
Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot information for your 2 Randall requests that you put in today. We're prioritizing who we obtain plot information for. Toddy/Tadych names were put on the link to try to cut the # down. Those who just release requests with new ones are moved down the priority list as that defeats our purpose. Please call and update the requests with a note with the plot info. All of us who are working together would appreciate it.
