Did you get a message concerning the above memorials?

RE: Schuelke
Thank you for your information on Hulda. It might just be one of those glitches in cemetery records that happens a lot. If you send me your email address I will send you a copy of the cemetery record book page that has the Schuelke's listed.
No, I am not a descendant of the Schuelke's I am just a family history fanatic and one project I have going at the moment is to completely photograph and document Trinity Cemetery.
Thanks again,
Alice

Schuelke
Hello,
In 2010 you posted a memorial for Schuelke's in Trinity Cemetery, Manistee, MI. Memorial #57514619 you have Hilda as the first name for Fred's wife according ti the cemetery recoreds his wife's name is Ernestina birth 1853 and passed away in 1926. Which are the same dates you have for Hilda except for you have 1854 for the birth year instead of 1853. I was curious if you think that Hilda is a nickname or if there was another spouse for Fred?
Thank you, Alice

Cemetery Wanderer
RE: Adam Ickes
I did not find an Ida next to Adam. I am not positive she was not on the back of his tombstone, but I usually look. I did find a Leroy Ickes if he is related.

If my memory recall is correct Adam & Leroy are in the Pe Ell City Cem. Find a grave does not differenciate the different cemeteries, because they are side by side and no name on the City Cem.

Sorry I can not help you.
Helen

RE: Vinyard
I sent an email to the address you provided. I hope to hear from you soon. Me and other Vinyards are going to try to secure some funding for the cemetery. This will go towards clearing brush, fixing the fence, adding a gate, and providing a sign. And possibly improving the easement. Best wishes.

Lucinda's marker hasn't been found yet. But it's bound to be there some place. A lot of brush will have to be cleared before we can get a better assessment of the cemetery's overall condition. I am also a direct descendant of Philip Vinyard and Lucinda Howard, so I plan on making more visits to help fix the cemetery when I can.

Pauline Spring
Christina Spring Poust
Hello,

I am curious to ask how you know that Christina Poust was born Christina Spring in Moreland Twp, Lycoming Co, PA. My husband is descended from the Springs of this area, and I have been trying to expand the family through ancestry.com for some time. I recently came upon the extended family of Peter Spring, his direct ancestor.

I would be very grateful if you can share any insights you may have on the Spring connection to Christina Poust.

Thanks very much!

Yarger pictures
Hello,

Would you mind if I took copies of some of your Yarger pictures? The records in a family tree are so much nicer when there's an image.

Thanks,
--Tad

Hi Laurie

Would you mail me at m1357us@yahoo.com. I am interested in comparing notes on their son John. He seems to be elusive. Judy

RE: Maxine Arneson
As promised, I went back to Maxineís grave and got a better photo.

More interesting, while searching for another grave I discovered the graves of Anna and John Arneson (Find A Grave numbers 144436690 and 144436781) just across the road from Maxine and Donald.

Would you know if these are directly related to Donald?

Cheers! Steve

He's buried at Rock Grove, Illinois as you know. I question the comment about Pike County which is downstate. I grew up on a farm that belonged to that family in sec. 27, Rock Grove Twp. Ajoing their land is Pleasant Hill schoolhouse and there was once a church that probably went by the same name. What do you think about this?

Elizabeth Osgood / Salem
Hi. I accidentally loaded a picture in Elizabeth's memorial. You'll need to re-enter your photo request. Sorry about that. By the way, I didn't find a marker for her when I was at the cemetery, but I did find one for John (1829-1912), Elizabeth (1836-1914), and Bertha (1893-1981). I don't know if they're related or of interest to you. Tim

RE: Maxine Arneson
You are very welcome.

I have driven past Maxineís grave many times watching for a stone to be installed, and had about decided that there wasnít going to be one. But, when I drove past last Monday, there it was. Unfortunately, I was in my car rather than my truck, so I didnít have any rags and brushes to clean it. I used my hand to brush it off as best I could, but as you can see, I wasnít very successful.

When weather permits, Iíll return and get a better photo for you. I just wanted you to know that Maxine does indeed now have a headstone.

Cheers! Steve
