Hi Diane,

I added the headstone photos I took at Acacia in July and transferred both memorials to you.

RE: another question - Emely Westerberg
Hi Dianne,
In researching her I found her maiden name spelled both ways on various different documents. When I discovered her daughter's middle name matched one of the spellings I went with that one. I have no personal knowledge to confirm either spelling so I will change the memorial to match the info given you by family.

RE: Werner Westerberg
The only difference I had was his middle name was Leonard not Vern. The stone shows his middle name with an L. I got the information for his WW1 registration card. That was the only information that I change. I appreciate you giving me the information for his memorial. I gave you credit for the information, but left out McGregor. I hope that was OK. If you want me to add McGregor I would be glad to do it. I really appreciate information to make the memorials accurate. Thank you.

Pickering, Old Oroville Cem
I wanted to say thanks for the great photos you’ve taken over time ... and especially cite the documentation of these names (see the reference Pickering), since the concrete is spalling so badly and soon the names will be unreadable. At least they’re showing in the photos.

It’s “EASY” to take pix of the large ornate monuments (read: people with money) that are found at old cemeteries. But, Mr. Pickering meant something to someone, and hopefully all your work will be a treasure trove for a great-great-great niece or nephew to find ... so many men came to N. California alone “to find gold”, stayed, and died of old age. Or, served in the military (his GAR location gives me that opinion), came west for the weather, stayed, and ditto. Sad. When a life is merely a name (poorly) etched in decaying material it is as they didn’t matter. You make them matter. A.

RE: Mark Harvel Shearin
If they do not make the changes in 30 days you can plead your case to FindAGrave. Just make sure that you advise them that even though yours are more recent, they are in the correct cemetery. Are they all like that? I am finding several duplications.

Mark Harvel Shearin
You might want to check out the noted memorial below. It is duplicate for Mark Harvel Shearin with the same stone but listed in a different cemetery. I am not sure which is the correct cemetery.

Thanks for the headstone photo. The date engraved on her headstone appears to be in error. The birthdate given on her death certificate is the date I put on her memorial and is also supported by early census records. I added a transcription of her death certificate to her memorial. I have no clue where the headstone engraver came up with the date he put on the stone.

They are family - I would be more than happy to have them if you would like to transfer them. I can add a father for Harold.

The Harold Cahill Family
Hi Dianne,
I left you a couple edits so that the Harold Cahill Family may be linked - Harold # 78573132, spouse [they had divorced] Evelyn # 78573163 - sons: Stephen # 78573192 & Chris # 78573211

Hope my fingers types those #s correctly!

Son Chris was really David Christopher per his California Death Record at - his mother's maiden name per that record was Murray

Thanks in advance for doing the links etc!

Thanks so much for making the corrections and links. I will not request transfer of the memorial as these are very distant relatives and there may be closer relatives in California or that area that might want to have the maintanence of these memorials.

Thanks again,

Thank you for adding the link to the parents of Annabelle. I have someone requesting the transfer of the parents and they may or may not want to transfer. I just wanted to be sure to try to put the family together before I transfer.

Hi Dianne, I just saw the picture you posted on Harold Whitehead. I think it is actually my uncle, Harold Pownall. Could you recheck it, please? Thanks! Laura

RE: Nelson additions
Diane, thank you for responding so quickly. The Nelsons were actually grandparents to my cousins and you have made all the corrections and attachments that I have so a transfer is not needed. I appreciate your offer. You transferred my in-laws the Talbitzers to me some time ago. Thanks for being so accommodating, it's appreciated.

You are very welcome.
Yes, its OK to copy the photos. I ask only that they be credited (photographer and find a grave website).
I agree its a good idea to be cautious about the links.
