I uploaded a photo of James's gravestone to his memorial. Linda's name is also on the stone.

RE: Linda Lytle
When Carolyn originally transcribed the cemetery, she created a memorial for stones whether there was a DOD or not. I've found about 250 where the person was most likely alive, but the spouse was deceased. I checked the SSDI and local obituaries to see if I could determine whether they were alive or not. It's not perfect, but I don't know what else to do.

I just checked phone records and there's a listing for a Linda Lytle, age 93, who lives in Kent WA so maybe she's still alive.

Have a good day.

Linda Lytle
The cemetery has no record of Linda being buried there. Is it possible that Linda is still alive? James Lytle is in Heritage, lot 26, space 8. It is a double-depth to allow for a second burial above him.

It's also possible that they can't find the paperwork. They have an antiquated filing system and things do get lost. If you're certain that she's deceased and buried there I can go back to my contact and ask him to check again.

I did check James's stone and there is no DOD for Linda yet.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

Have a great day.

please just email me instead of posting on message board and on the individual memorials when leaving msg. I find it very irrating and disruptive.

Kathy,

If you are a friend or relative of Ms. Baggett, I would be more than happy to transfer her memorial to you. It should be in the hands of one who knew and loved her. I am sure that would be her wish. Let me know.

With Kindest Regards,

Len Harrell

Kathy, We would have loved to be able to connect Lynn to his sister Karen Baggett but we did not add Karen's memorial nor did we have their parent's memorial; numbers thus as you know being a find-a-grave member we are unable to connect them. We have also had to reach a point to replace the lenghty information people have added in the flower sections. We ask that if you place a flower please do not family history or connections to others there. May God Bless you.

It appears there is a duplicate memorial

Find A Grave# 125490905 and 127959606

Would be nice if both were combined. I am willing to combine if memorials are transferred to me

Mount Hope-Vance & Bland
Kathy,

I went to the archives in Urbana today and copied the cemetery listing they have there from a survey that was done in 1958. They list the following: Bland; Amos, Henry, Mary, O.W., Virginia and for Vance; Charlie, Eliza, Ira, Mahlon, William. So I'm assuming those were the only headstones at that time. The only other thing would be to try and locate the sexton or township official that might know who has an actual plot map. At least you might be able to locate the plot. I do have a plot map for the cemetery but no names. In another cemetery I've been searching it was recommended that I contact a local funeral home and see if they can direct me. I've not done that yet.

Best of luck in your search!

RE: Blaich
I am sorry but no other names are on this plot or stones. There is plenty of room for more spaces on this plot so it is very possible they are there.

RE: Bland Vance
Kathy,

My next plan is to stop by the historical archives in Urbana (the county seat) to take a look through the cemetery listing to see if I can find a plot number. I know the listing is there as I've seen it when I was researching my family from that same area. I took a look this morning to see if they had happened to make it available online but they have not. It may be a couple weeks before I get back down there but I'll let you know.

I also see that the duplicate spouses seem to have cleared up since I accepted a couple pending changes.

Regards,

Virgil Hovar

Kathy,

I went back through Mount Hope Cemetery and did locate William Vance. I think we missed it the first time because it was on the side of the headstone for Eliza J Vance, 132420006. I also found a few other Vance headstones that I added and uploaded photos for.

Regards,

Virgil Hovar

RE: Amos, Mary and Henry Bland
Kathy,
I'm glad to be able to help out and provide these photos. This was my first visit to this cemetery. I had located a cousin there as well as just wanting to visit the area due to some more direct family connections. I know we had Vance on our list of names we were watching for as we walked the cemetery but don't recall every seeing them. I suspect I'll be back out there as a couple other photos I took didn't turn out very good due to the bright sun. If we get back out there we'll take another quick look for any Vance we can locate.

We are always excited to finally make connections ourselves and are glad to help.
