RE: Sawyers
This Jacob is in the descendant list of Jacob 1748 (A100256)
He was b. 1768 Reading. MA; His wife was Eunice Keen; he is followed on that list by their dau. Lucretia b. 1797.
He may have had service with his f; or some of his service may be credited to his f. I'm still sorting (8) ME/MA Jacobs.
Jacob 1747 [Wilmington MA] and Jacob 1748 [Reading, MA] are confused.

RE: Frederic Cemetery
Thank you, sir. I appreciate the memorials, and being able to reunite some families. Today I found [in MA] another son of Wm Frederic, sr. That makes 4 sons of Wm that served in the CW.
I especially like to note military service. Vets and their families deserve that.

Hi J,

I have added the date ad death dates. I found the birth date in a message on ancestry.com message board. Let me know if these are right. I will be more than happy to add any other links or information as well. Would you like to add a note in the biography with an email address well? There was someone who left a message at ancestry.com. However, I tried to send this same message to them but it was bounced back.

I added all those buried that were named on the plaques to honor all my ancestors who fought on the north and the south. It was a chapter of history many tried to ignore or even didn't happen. So anytime I find more information or new sources I will bump them up against the rooster to see if any new information can be added. The last was an article of those who had visited the catholic church, St James if I remember correctly. So please send me the info and I will be glad to post it. I hope this email works because it was from the message board.

Thanks,
Doug the bug

Craig Kilby
George Cofer, bur Bedford Co VA
Your notes say he died in Ste. Genevieive, MO but is buried at St. Stephen's Church in Bedford County, VA. I suppose that is possible but do you have any explanation for this? My interest in him is for the book by the VA SAR on burials of Rev War patriots buried in Virginia. Since you show no stone (he is said by other sources to be buried here as well) or even a cenotaph, some sort of explanation is needed. Otherwise can not include him in this book. Are you certain this is the same George Cofer who died in Ste. Genevieve? Help please! Craig Kilby, Lancaster, VA

Hi, i'm going to St. Stephens Episcopal church today to look for George Cofer grave. I can't find my email alert with your request but it seems like there was more of a specific request for something else while i'm there. Please let me know.

Thank you for sponsoring this memorial! I really prefer to retain management of his memorial for now as I am still working on this line. I will be glad to add any info you wish to send, though.

Link Mary Butts Smouse to parents
Hi Jill,

Thank you for your request to link Mary Butts Smouse to her parents Mathew James Barlow and Elizabeth Alexander Barlow.

I have done so and also added a more complete biography. I wish I could link Mary to her second spouse, John Littleton Smouse. However, so far I do not know where he is buried.

Sincerely,
Elsa Barlow Walton

Hi J,

I would be delighted to add any links or information. I entered all in the mound to honor my ancestors from both sides of the war. Found out afterwards a distant cousin was also buried there.

Thanks,
