RE: Josiah Locke tombstone
You are most welcome. I took my six year old daughter and my eight year old son and they helped me locate him. He is buried only a couple of miles from where we live.

RE: Sadie Hawkins, etc.
Hehe....if it were the same Sadie Hawkins....what a story that would be.....She ran a conceivably should could have met a man from SF. But then I wonder, why marry and not live together? He goes back to SF and lives with Tina...the scoundrel!

The rest of what you added looked accurate. Thanks for getting it started. I only recently found this website...and it warmed my heart to see the messages left on my families pages.

If you would transfer Sadie and Marie Hawkins to me that would be good. I'd also be interested in having Edward Linn Blaine and his wife Nataliene Hawkins Blaine, and my parents Edward Hawkins Blaine and Yvonne Miller Blaine.

Sarah (Sadie) Hawkins
I'm not sure your comment about her mother Sarah Hawkins remarrying is correct. Is there anything to support that the marriage application is the same Sarah Hawkins? Directory and census records don't support that she remarried. If there is a story to fill out what I know about her that would be awesome. But if this comment is based on an assumption of it being the same person, I'd like to know that as well. Thankyou, mlb

I did leave him/her a message. That's great---hopefully it will be permanently marked at some point.

RE: Anky Keaton
I looked everywhere. I have no doubt she's buried there, no way of knowing where. There was one grave marked "Anky Houchins", the only Anky grave in the cemetery.

I have the inscription from the graveyard at St Paul's, Compstall. It mentions Thomas being interred at Mount Moriah, but doesn't mention His wife Hannah. Contact me if you would like the transcript.

Dela C Grossman Myers, 50924423
Hello. Della Myers is the grandmother of one of my aunts, and I was checking the death certificate of my aunt's mother, Birdie Pearl Myers Kimbrough Kirby. On the certificate, the informant is Mrs. D.H. Myers, Birdie's mother, and she gives her maiden name as Della Snyder (not Grossman). I don't know if she was ever married to a Grossman, but that is not her maiden name. Thank you for the work you are doing with Findagrave. Regards, Diane

Hannah Hoyt Hamilton
I noticed that Hannah's gravestone (Find A Grave Memorial# 50277784) is very dirty and leaning. If you would like a free estimate for a cleaning and straightening let me know. I am fully certified and trained in dealing with historic gravestones.

RE: Gorham
You stated that you were related to Joseph Barlow Gorham. Which of his children do you descend from? As I said in the other message, I descend from his son John Gorham, who married Mary Jane Lyon(s).

Then from their son Frank Leslie Gorham, Jessie Leople Gorham, Roger Ellis Brown (grandfather).

Would love to share information to help continue my family tree search!

Hi, I noticed that you posted a reply to Fred Berardi's profile. I believe we are related. I also have Joseph Barlow Gorham as my ancestor, whom if I remember is a brother to Stratton Gorham. I descend from Joseph B. Gorham's son, John Gorham who married Mary Lyons. Would love to share information.

RE: Mary McCartney
The photograph was emailed to me by another researcher...I believe she descends from Mary's daughter, Sarah Jane Redding. She has a private family tree, and I only know her by her posting name happylbi. The second researcher (who has not shared pictures, only information) descends from Mary's daughter Elizabeth Annis Redding. Thank you for the information on John. I wonder if the two siblings came over from Ireland alone together or with a family group? I'd also like to know more information about Mary's husband Lewis. I know he came from South Carolina and his father's name was Samuel, but that's as far as I can go. Thank you again from a distant cousin.

Mary McCartney
This is pretty exciting! I never knew Mary had a brother! I only found out that Mary was my 2nd great grandmother in 2007. I'll be sure to add John on the family tree. I have been in touch with two other McCartney researchers who have kindly shared information with me. I, too, have a supposed photograph of the family farm in Ireland, which I've just posted on Mary's findagrave page. I've wondered, too, if we may hook up somewhere along the line with Sir Paul McCartney?

Lysander Jacoby
I missed one important clue Lysander Jacoby was born in Lysander New York!

Added by Anonymous on Mar 15, 2013 4:57 PM

This is what i know so far... LC Jacoby was born in Onandaga County New York January 3,1816, he moved with his parents to Fort Wayne Indianna. He attended Harvard Law School graduated with honors, returned to Fort Wayne to marry Miss Mary A. Vadakin and open a law office. Successful in law he moved to Rockford in 1862. He had two daughters Ella Jacoby Hall and Lillian Jacoby. Mrs Jacoby preceded him in death in 1878. Lysander died in 1900.
Perhaps your William is a cousin to LC's children or a brother to Mr Jacoby himself.

Mary Ella Jacoby Hall
There is an image of the marker you are requesting in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. It can be found listed with Lysander Jacoby. If you are interested in the Jacobys you might like to try this link.

Mary Jacoby Hall
Mary Jacoby was born October 30 1852. She died April 5 1925.
She was married to Hiram Hall who passed in Boston. Mrs. Hall most recently had lived in Boston but had returned to Rockford to settle the estate of her sister, Lillian Jacoby. She became ill and was admitted to the hospital for several weeks before her death.

I will let you know if I find out anything. I know he had a brother Ole Anderberg who lived with him after his divorce for awhile. He is listed in 1895 census from Mandt area with wife Anna (1st) and 6 children. I have heard rumors from family there was also a sister who lived in CA. Thanks, I guess we have to keep looking. Carol

Bertina Westberg Wallien
Hi - I was wondering what information/background you may know about Andrew Westberg. I am his great granddaughter from his second marriage to Louise (my grandmother is Hannah). I have been trying to trace his line but cannot get past him. The names on the story connected to his gravesite haven't helped. No one in the family knows anything except parents evidently died in 1901 and 1902. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Carol Norrander

Emeline (Worby) Thompson -- Memorial #44257090
I see you have attached a picture of Emeline (Worby) Thompson on her memorial page. I was wondering if you are a blood relative of Emeline.

Today, my wife and I visited Harris and Dee Swan in Fulda in regards to Charles J. Buhner who is buried in Prairie Hill cemetery. Charles was my mother's brother. Rosa (Worby) Buhner would have been my mother's mother and a sister (I believe) to Emeline. I did not know all the connections until we returned back to Eagle Grove this evening.

If you are a relative to Emeline, I am curious as to what information you might have on the Worby family.

Thank you for posting the picture of Emeline.
