small world isn't it. Dutch & Grace lived about 1/2 a mile from my parents (in a rural community) They were good people. For some reason I remember Dutch better than Grace. Their children were several, several yrs. older than I was. When Dutch moved to a retirement apartment I understand he was a good companion to the "old" ladies. Good luck with your family history.

RE: straub relatives
I live in Owen County, KY. Which cemetery are they in? I've been working in several different one. Sorry I didn't know of them. I've been living in GA most of my adult life and have just come back to OC in the last 4 yrs. Am I the manager of their memorial. I would make a transfer if so.

Yes, I saw your grandmothers memorial page. That's why I initially asked if you were related to Orville. But yes, any information your mother may have on Jacob Martin Jenny (1807-1856) (whom would've been Caroline Yeager Jennys husband) would be great.

The only piece of information I'd still like to find out is where Jacob Henry Jenny is buried (John H. Jenny's father). Obviously he's not buried with Caroline but I got his life-dates off of a genealogy site. He died way back in 1856 and I'm not sure if they had come from Chillicothe yet or if he died here in Cincinnati.

I live in Cincinnati. Marilyn Sorrentino (Jenny) is my maternal grandmother. She's the only daughter of William E. Jenny (from his first marriage). She would be you're mothers 1st cousin I guess, she lives in Madeira but I don't see her to often.

RE: orville jenny
Below is the link to my great-grandfather's online memorial. I have him linked to the entire family up until the 1850s/1860s... I have the burial locations, and even a photo copy of John Henry Jenny's death certificate (I'm not sure how much information you know but he would be your great-great-grandfather). I even found his mother's grave at spring grove, Caroline Yeager Jenny (1810-1892).

I was wondering if you were a descendent of Orville Jenny? If so, I have a lot of information on all the direct-descendents up until the early 19th century. I am the great-grandson of his brother, William E. Jenny.

You might want to check with this contributor "Kyroots (#46622174)" as she added entries in 2004 & probably added the cemetery. So perhaps there are 2 cemeteries with same name. We were at the cemetery & found the entries that we made & took a photo of the cemetery sign.

That is sad news, Kimberly. Btw, how far do you live from Knifley??? Do you know where the Caldwell Chapel cemetery is??? If you ever get a chance, I'd like for you to check it out and take a few photos for me. I doubt if I'll ever make it to Kentucky again so I'm hoping to use some folks in the area. Thanks!!!

Kimberly - He's all yours now. Take good care of him. Btw, that's an excellent photo you posted for him. He was a handsome man and, I'm guessing, a good-hearted person.
