On Nov. 3 I sent an edit asking you to add a short bio note to Charlie's memorial (# 106861784). I'm wondering what happened to it.

Find a Grave photos
I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?

James Hardy
Mrs. J. A. Hardy, Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA
I am trying to determine if this Mrs. J. A. Hardy is my great-great-grandmother, Mary Jane Brock Hardy, who was married to John A. Hardy in Old Campbell County, GA. You mentioned a 1910 newspaper obituary as the source for the date of death. Do you still have access to this newspaper obituary? My great-great-grandmother also died in 1910 and was receiving a Confederate widow's pension. Thank you, James Clinton Hardy, Jr.

Jacob Calvin Lowrey
Hello - Thanks for all of your hard work. Hope you might help ----- There are two women listed as wives of Jacob Calvin Lowrey ------- Louise Caroline Ivie Lowrey (b. 1830 -d. 1891) & Sally Lowrey (b. unk. - d. 1909).
William E. Lowrey is shown on the site as a son of Jacob C. Lowrey & he was b. 1837. Obviously Wm. cannot be a son of Louise b. 1830, so he must be a son of Sally? ------- but how can that be if Louise did not die until 1891? Could Jacob C. Lowrey have had a wife before Louise & Sally?

Many thanks if you might solve the riddle.

Mrs. Sarah J. GLENN - Westview
Dear Wonderful PBS!

I can add to this (not my ancestor, but I'm writing a book on her daughter Hope Glenn, a famous (or she will be :) singer of the late 19th century, who died in London in 1927.

Sarah was born Sarah GLASS c. 1825 in PA. She and her husband John GLENN (looking for his grave) left the Pittsburgh area shortly after (Harriet) Hope's birth on 28 October 1856, for Iowa City Iowa.

The next child, Carrie, was born in 1857 in Iowa City.

Anna J Herndon 108018956
I believe that Anna's maiden name was actually Barrett (father- James Richard Barrett) (mother - Elizabeth "Betty" Last Name Unknown) According to the census, Anna's mother was a widow by age 52 and remarried George Abner Power at the age of 55. Hence the reason she was listed as Mrs Powers in Anna's obit.

Thanks to they who photographed this headstone and inscription. Was this Mary married to Angelo Fugazzi of Atlanta, Georgia? I have variants of her last name, and hope Angelo's headstone is near by. His date of death is 1931.

Do you a copy of the obituary that you indicated was in The Atlanta Constitution, 11/4/1915? I would like to read it and make sure it is the person I am hoping it to be.

Thank you.

Mrs. M. F. Sentell at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta
I was doing some photo requests for Sentells and found a marker for Frances L. Reid Sentell. I posted it on Mrs. M. F. Sentell's page because it looks like it fits. But the page says she is the wife of M. F. Sentell. Could this be a typo?

Let me know what you think and if I should remove the photo.

My husband and I are searching for information on Hezekiah Pursley Memorial # 107751636 you created. DOD of 9/4/1906 and you referenced the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Do you by chance have this article? Hezekiah is my husbands 2nd great grandfather and we don't know much about him. In fact we are at a road block on his parents/siblings. Any information you are willing to share we would be so thankful.

Best Wishes,
Michele & Jeff Pursley
