RE: Punchbowl
Sorry, I should have been more specific. The website is Clemson University.

Yeah, I saw a bit of that exchange. Someone also hit one of my claims too, but I haven't seen them in a while. There's a fair number of new people but they frequently lose interest quickly.

If they continue to do it, I'd report it to an admin.

Punchbowl
David Lyle is seeking photos for their University website as made a large number of requests. I've grown weary of such projects. You're welcome to them. I'd rather work on getting less well documented graves on-line.

Aloha, Marni.
I sent you an e-mail and thereafter, I was thinking that there maybe many more individuals at Holy Nativity Church, Aina Haina, to be added to FindAGrave. Just a thought; as there are only three individuals (all Mumpers) therein listed. A contributor's treasure trove :-) Mahalo.

I am not related to the person in question, so I am not the one you would want to research with, but more likely the contributor. Mr. Schulmeister's memorial is one that I had in mind to sponsor and I put in photo requests on those on my "to-do" list who did not have headstone photos yet.

All at Holy Nativity Church in Aina Haina, Honolulu Co., Oahu, Hawaii. Photo requests have been relisted if you are interested. Thanks so much.

Mahalo again Marnie for your wonderful photos. I especially like the way that you take photos of the surrounding area as well as the tombstone. It helps so that when I go back, I can locate the tombstone much easier. You take the time to include the beautiful scenery with the koolaus, etc.

You're the best!!!!

RE: Thanksgiving Hiatus
Thanks for the heads up. Right now Punchbowl is keeping me busy and with the holidays and all that entails, I'm not going to have the time to get over there.

So I'll leave them for you when you get back - and I see there's a couple of new requests too.

Come next year, I'd like to branch out and spend more time on the older, "not on-line/no office" type of cemeteries.

RE: KOZEN KANESHIRO
Mahalo, Marnie, for your wonderful aloha. Yes, I know this is a comfort to my wife and will be a permanent memorial for the family. I would like very much to create memorials for the other family members. If you want, I will let you know when they are done, so you can upload, or you can email the pictures to 6016186@gmail.com.

Blessings!
Ken

RE: Kozen Kaneshiro
Hi Marnie. The only thing we know for sure is that he is at Diamond Head. My wife went home in January for his memorial service there. I was told that there was only "one more place left" for a family member, which sounds like a niche, but you shared that they told you he was in section GM. Thank you for looking. I will try to call again and get more information.

Your kindness is appreciated. My wife will truly appreciate when I can have this memorial complete for her father. He was a fine and much-loved man. The visitors at his funeral included Neil Abercrombie and other noteworthy people -- a testimony to the fine man Kozen was!

I would trust the information you have. Mine is coming to me third-hand. The only thing I know for certain is that he's at Diamond Head. Mahalo nui! -Ken-

Marnie, mahalo for agreeing to take the photo of my father-in-law's marker. I just learned that he was cremated, so his marker is on the family niche at Diamond Head. We appreciate your kindness. God bless you! -Ken-

RE: Phares family
Marnie,
Interesting! My husband's great grandfather was married to Mariah Hester Peddicord, who was Nancy and Sarah's sister! I hope you found the wonderful obituary I found for their mother. Let me know if you'd like to compare Peddicord information. I wanted to contact you privately, but I couldn't find an email address for you. The reason I'm writing is because I'm the one who buys the rolls of microfilm and types the obituaries for the DeWitt County, Illinois, website. I don't mind if you want to post the obituaries on findagrave, but please give credit to the website where they came from. Thanks. http://dewitt.ilgenweb.net/

Marnie,
Are you related to the Henry Clay Phares family of DeWitt County, Illinois? I noticed that you provided some obituaries for them.

Thank you
I want to thank you for the photos you took of my grandparents' gravesite. I visited my grandfather back in 2001 with my grandma, dad, and aunt. My grandma died in 06 and I never went to the funeral, and haven't been to Hawaii since July of 2001, so I never visited my grandma yet. It was nice to finally see her gravesite. The photos you took are beautiful!
Thank you again,
Brandon

Ryan Kenneth Wong
hi!
Hi Marnie! My name is Ryan Wong. My twin brother Brandon has been corisponding with you. Thank you so much for what you have done for us. My brother and I are very much into genealogy and family history, especially with our Hawaiian roots. It is pretty sad to see that old cemeteries virtually disapear over time and are not kept up, but i guess that doesn't really matter in the end. Those crosses somehow artistically are beautiful despite how they are in disaray. Thank you again for your help too!
Ryan
