You are so welcome. I love to help out when I can! I really like Westwood Cemetery too! Saw a couple of deer while out there on Friday photographing the Cordin family graves! If you need any other photos out there, just let me know. I'd be more than happy to help.

Re: Elizabeth Caldwell
Hello Marnie,

I am the volunteer who claimed your request for a photograph of Elizabeth Caldwell's final resting place. Unfortunately, she has no marker at this time, but I was able to find the plot she is buried in and took that picture for you.
Although Find a Grave tends to not like photos like this posted on memorials, I think it's perfectly fine. Why should a loved one be left out just because there is no marker?
Anyway, after a visit to the cemetery manager, we looked at the burial/plot records and I have marked where Elizabeth is buried.
I looked for a local obituary as well and I haven't found one.
If I can assist you further, please let me know!

I have transferred her to you, although it's really not necessary. I will add or edit the memorials I post as people give me information.

You are free to use the photo on or anywhere else that you please. You can just credit me for the photo, that's all you need to do.

Yes you may use the photo on ancestry, just mention that I took the photo. Thank you for asking. I transferred Samuel to you, however I do not manage the memorials for his wife or daughter so I'm unable to transfer those to you.

Mike Cooper
WEEKS-Ridge Cem-Nebraska
I just X-fer'd all WEEKS surnames I posted to Ridge Cemetery, Dodge County, Nebraska.

As mentioned - I did a bulk-upload to F-A-G and the dates of birth & death merged incorrectly.

The dates of birth and death are *not* accurate.

F-A-G and I decided it best to let the family make the repairs. The upload contained about 1,400 surnames and the only way F-A-G could think to fix was to clear all postings so I could reload.

That would have wiped out what others have posted so I told them not to bother and that I would pass the word to those receiving the transfers.

Sorry about that.

I don't know if this is someone you would be interested in but I just posted a photograph for Amy Weeks Marks (Find A Grave #16302358) in the Maple Grove Cemetery. I find it interesting that another one I had posted for you was Clarissa Marks Weeks. (Inter-marrying families?) The headstone is broken in half and leaning against a tree. She was the wife of Elbridge G. Marks who is also buried in Maple Grove.

RE: Howzit?
In the past the newbies have tired after a month or two, but this group is still going strong. I backed out when I went back over some of my old requests and found some of my work had been moved to a different cemetery or deleted. I wanted what I do to be a little more permanent then that.

I've been more active on BillionGraves. No "control"/transfer issues. Any family drama tends to take place on FamilySearch, so it leaves the BG users alone. The photos aren't as nice since it uses the cell phone camera, but I'm getting a lot more done. The GPS feature is pretty neat.

RE: Weeks at Lakeview
Hello Marnie,

It was my pleasure to help you. I'm glad you liked the photos. I'm from the desert Southwest, so I found the cemetery to be quite beautiful, as it was right along a lake shore. To add to the picturesque scene, several Amish families were picnicking in the cemetery along the shore, complete with their horses-drawn buggies.

You certainly may use the photos for anything you like. Thanks for having the good manners to ask. In a few moments I will send them as attachments to your private email, with "findagrave" in the subject line.

Kind Regards,

Thank you for your kind words.
I think many of us have had some trials with folks that have not been very kind. I am happy those contacts have been the minority.
If you find other friends or family members you would like transferred just let me know.

Allen D. Jackson, USAF (Ret)
Miller West Beals
Aloha my friend, I hope all is well and that this finds you in great spirits. Miller's bio is up on memorial #56114993. Check out the family photo of him, Daisy, Peggy June (sitting on Miller's lap) and Carrie Ann. It's one of the hidden ones, I almost made it the first photo on the page. Daisy's poem, I kicked that one around, but it nearly brought tears to my eyes, well actually it did, so I had to include it. It just touched my heart and I had to share it with all whom visit here. Thanks again for helping me remember him. Have a great summer and drop me line from time to time. Your Friend Always, Allen

PS: I still haven't gotten around to my bio, yet...ha ha. I promise I will soon. AJ

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they're looking at the cement cross or the wooden one leaning on it?

RE: John Atcherley in Honolulu
Aloha Marnie .... from a rather dreary England! Many thanks for taking the photos of the Atcherley gravestones, and for the permission you have so kindly given for your photos to be freely used. At some point the Atcherley pics will certainly be displayed on my website at - with a suitable credit of course.

It may take a while for me to write about Dr John Atcherley as there is just so much that happened in his life. The Hawaiian papers were as you say full of stories relating to his trial and the events leading up to it (as they were with the story of the divorce case between his sister and brother-in-law, the Dr and Rose Miner - another story which will take a while to write).

John did recover and gain his freedom and went on to serve in the Royal Canadian Navy before returning the Hawaii.

Thanks again Marnie for your time and interest.
