RE: James B. Deans
I bet it's the same man! Check out my memorial for a lady I knew - Alice Deans - memorial number 148933574. I've included her obituary in her memorial, and it says her second husband was James Britt Deans. I do not know when he died. Nor do I have contact info for her family (from what I'm seeing - they were children from her first marriage). Alice was a sweet lady - friend of a friend of my mother's, who I was introduced to several years ago. She had a camp on the James River and there was a beach where you could find sharks teeth. She took me there once. Anyway, I'm interested in finding out if your James Britt Deans was her husband - maybe we could connect them! We need to find his obit!

James B. Deans
This wouldn't be James Britt Deans, who was married to Alice (Epps) Manning Deans would it?

You added some information to this burial. I've added the obit. You, or some one, sent me a notice that he was born in Beaver County, Pa. The obit disputes that. I'd also suggest you click on 'request a photo' for this burial. He should be easily found once the weather cooperates. If you want ownership, let me know. I'm not family.

RE: Martha Beulah (Lynch) Cross
Hi JD,

I'm not a direct descendant of Martha Beulah Lynch(Cross), but my husband comes from her father's Lynch line. I've been researching all the lines from her grandfather, in hopes of breaking through the "wall" of the first documented Lynch in the US. Hoping some descendant might have some info that might help...

Any idea who her parents are? I research the different branches of the Old family and she does not come up.

GGGGparents are outside the Find a Grave guidelines for transfer. I'm happy to add links or other information and, of course, you can add pictures yourself. Thanks, LG

Miles and Elizabeth Goodwin
Hi JD, the Oakwood site has them both interred in Plot 31, Magnolia Hill, so they are buried together. There is also their son, Miles, listed, born April 21, 1869, if that information makes sense with your census information, you may have the right folks. Thanks, LG

RE: Stokes Photos
I have linked the two together. I have lived in Colerain the last 25 years. Do you have a better description of the location or an address where the house is? We had Huricane Isabel come through in 2003 and caused a lot of damage. perry Wynns fishery that was on the river at the bottom of River road was completely destroyed. Was this house near the fishery?

RE: Stokes Photos
You are very welcome. I was happy to do it. This was my first photo request I fulfilled. My 12 yo twin daughters and I had fun looking for the graves.
I also added Edward Lee stokes Jr and Myra Sharpe Stokes. These were all under one plot. I wasn't sure about this, maybe someone could clarify but I assumed Myra was Edgar Jrs' wife. I don't have them linked together though until someone can verify this information.

RE: Worth Cemetery Photos-Creston, NC
Glad you could get more information. One of the neighboring family mentioned that they would get rid of the dead tree, which fell.

Maybe I can take another look later this summer.

RE: Worth Cemetery Photos-Creston, NC
Yes, it is quite a hike. A huge tree has fallen and broke and covered many of the headstones. Hope you can use the photos I was able to get.

RE: Bertha P Banks Upshaw
"Colonial Gardens" area is one of 142 sections. This at least makes it a workable area.
I see what I can do.
Have a great day.

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request."
Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 400 acres)and without the plot location it is impossible to find. I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one headstone, needs your help first. Without your help, don't expect a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
You can e-mail -
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.
Thank you and have a great day.

Hi, Yes, I do have a distant connection to the Worth's. I was researching a line and got off onto this one. You know how family lines will keep taking you different places!

Dean Family

I took pictures of the grave markers of James E. & Pauline E. Deans. While I was at the cemetery I also took a picture of T. Richard Deans' marker. He is buried beside them. I'd like to send the picture to you so that you can create a memorial, if you'd like.

RE: Finley Transfer
I will transfer the Coffeys and where is the house you are talking about? I may know the present owners and you may not have to ask about it. To my knowledge there aren't any homes "open to the public" on a regular basis. If you have an address, I may know.
