Any idea who her parents are? I research the different branches of the Old family and she does not come up.

GGGGparents are outside the Find a Grave guidelines for transfer. I'm happy to add links or other information and, of course, you can add pictures yourself. Thanks, LG

Miles and Elizabeth Goodwin
Hi JD, the Oakwood site has them both interred in Plot 31, Magnolia Hill, so they are buried together. There is also their son, Miles, listed, born April 21, 1869, if that information makes sense with your census information, you may have the right folks. Thanks, LG

RE: Stokes Photos
I have linked the two together. I have lived in Colerain the last 25 years. Do you have a better description of the location or an address where the house is? We had Huricane Isabel come through in 2003 and caused a lot of damage. perry Wynns fishery that was on the river at the bottom of River road was completely destroyed. Was this house near the fishery?

RE: Stokes Photos
You are very welcome. I was happy to do it. This was my first photo request I fulfilled. My 12 yo twin daughters and I had fun looking for the graves.
I also added Edward Lee stokes Jr and Myra Sharpe Stokes. These were all under one plot. I wasn't sure about this, maybe someone could clarify but I assumed Myra was Edgar Jrs' wife. I don't have them linked together though until someone can verify this information.

Glad you could get more information. One of the neighboring family mentioned that they would get rid of the dead tree, which fell.

Maybe I can take another look later this summer.

Yes, it is quite a hike. A huge tree has fallen and broke and covered many of the headstones. Hope you can use the photos I was able to get.

"Colonial Gardens" area is one of 142 sections. This at least makes it a workable area.
I see what I can do.
Have a great day.

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request."
Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 400 acres)and without the plot location it is impossible to find. I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one headstone, needs your help first. Without your help, don't expect a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
You can e-mail - http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.
Thank you and have a great day.

Hi, Yes, I do have a distant connection to the Worth's. I was researching a line and got off onto this one. You know how family lines will keep taking you different places!

Dean Family
Hi.

I took pictures of the grave markers of James E. & Pauline E. Deans. While I was at the cemetery I also took a picture of T. Richard Deans' marker. He is buried beside them. I'd like to send the picture to you so that you can create a memorial, if you'd like.

RE: Finley Transfer
I will transfer the Coffeys and where is the house you are talking about? I may know the present owners and you may not have to ask about it. To my knowledge there aren't any homes "open to the public" on a regular basis. If you have an address, I may know.

RE: Re Greenwood Finley/Coffey/Deans
Jim, I'll be happy to transfer all the Finleys to you that are in Greenwood since you are related. Just give me a couple of days to do that. I believe there is also a Finley in the North Wilkesboro Town Cemetery (formerly Baptist Cemetery). I'll tranfer that one, too. I don't know if I'll ever get the time and gumption to do Mountlawn; it's a HUGE cemetery. But, if so, I'll keep your info handy and transfer those also. I think family should always have memorials, especially those that have the beautiful family pictures like you do! I do this as a hobby and am always happy to transfer to families.

RE: Carolina Carrie Elizabeth
Jim, I've made the changes you requested. It is took me a minute to think which cemetery, but when I did the name search, it came back to me. I've photographed several, so had to think. Would you like to have these family member memorials transferred to you? I am not related to the Finleys or the Cowles, other than I live in Finley Park and two of the streets here are Finley and Cowles. I just like to get out and walk and photograph cemeteries when the weather is nice, and this one is only 3 minutes from me. I'd be more than happy to turn over any memorials in Greenwood Cemetery that are related to you.
