Wm. Thomas/Elmwood Memphis
Hi....I checked the cemetery records and revisited the plot. Mr. Thomas's grave has no marker. He is buried in Turley #571, Sp. 7. The plot was purchased by M.D. Shelby. There are 23 folks buried in the plot, including the names of Shelby, Thomas, Murman, Halsey, Nelson and Howard. Some of the Shelby's, Nelsons and Halsey's have markers. I saw none for the Thomas's. Sorry. I've placed an edit to the creator of the memorial to note that the grave is unmarked. Thx.

Leah Hubbard
Abe Mudgett
If my memory serves me correct, there is no headstone for Abe. I know daughter and her husband have one but when I was there several years ago to find my great grandparents, I didn't see one. I am going to leave this memorial open as I am trying to find a way to make a trip back up there to take some more pictures and hopefully find it.

Are you by chance related to this family?

Leah

I saw that...let me check that out. IF my memory serves me well Mr. Thomas is buried in that plot and has no marker. I'll check the records again and let you know.

You're very welcome. Yes, of course you may use the photo. And you don't need to give me credit - I'm fine with it. Glad I was able to find the stone for you.

This is a very large cemetery with all flat markers. If you could call the office and find the location of this burial we would be glad to look for it. We can only ask for three locations without being charged. 740-452-2236

Somehow your very old request to transfer got lost in my old mailbox. Sorry it was overlooked, but lucky I found it!

Patricia,
I believe Kate may have been married to Adolph Fitsamos Eversull (1871-1944) Find A Grave #28279702. Maybe you can locate a marriage license.
Good luck,
Wendy

Patricia,
Yes you may use the photos. I wish Annie's marker was clearer. As I remember, the graves are about half way back on the left side.
Regards,
Wendy

My mistake. I was working from the photo and running info through Ancestry. I thank you for catching the errors. I must have worked too long that day. Doris

Thanks for the heads up on his name. Use his edit tab to send the numbers to link him to unless you are within that 4 generations direct relative.

RE: Evergreen Hills Cemetery
There is a flat stone for her husband John and I photographed that so there is prob one for Anette too. Some of the footstones are buried too deep or covered with moss, etc and need cleaning before I can get a readable photo so I have skipped them for now. I will transfer John and Anette to you. Let me know if you want the other 2 Fitzgeralds transferred also.

Lafe Elston Photo
Sorry for the delay in replying to your request but I am not Ancestor Seeker and I almost never look at her messages. Ancestor Seeker died last year, I think in June so there is no way to get any response from her. However, I did contribute the picture of Lafe's marker and you may use it in any way you please. Use it as your own and don't bother giving me any credit.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Victor Elston
I tried to fill your request for a picture of the grave of Victor Elston but could not find it. Checking at the courthouse, I found that Victor is not buried in Mayn Cemetery. Victor bought a site in plot E-612 so that Lafayette Earl (Lafe) Elston could be buried there but Victor is not in this cemetery. The records also show that Lafe's father was Albert. If you are interested in Lafe, you may like to know that he did some paintings that are valued by local people. I know of one that he did on a piece of plywood of some horses with a well known local land mark in the background.
