RE: Sponslers
You are very welcome! I'm glad I could help. Unfortunately, I did not see a gravestone for his former wife Christian Anna Seaton. -E.M.

RE: Conrad Singer
Sorry I should have looked at Cemetery first. Seems your Catharine and Conrad were some of the better stones and I got a full transcription from the picture. If they are yours I can transfer management and introduce you to Crow connection to make arrangements to visit.

I will look closer at Ancestry to see if I have any more information we can exchange.

RE: Conrad Singer
I added the Cemetery to Find A Grave based on actual visit but the larger number of entries came from another published (Internet) list. Few of the stones are visible now as a grove of trees has grown up throughout the stones. However no one yet has questioned the accuracy of that earlier list. Unfortunately the list to my recollection did not have a layout of where the graves were so finding the exact one without careful onsite archaeology (certainly would need landowners permission - my visit was with a local Crow family member and neighbor of current landowner at the time).

Lula Childers
Lula would be my great grand aunt. Her sister Frances Augusta Childers Eason is my Great great grandmother. Makes us cousins of somekind. I am trying to link our families together in FAGrave and it's been a job. Lots of info to send out.

RE: Caroline Steve Blessington
Carrie is married to my husbands family--we think--by marriage only--her husband is married to a Witherow. So far we have not made a blood connection there--but we know there has to be one. One of those family feud things and when I started looking over 30 years ago all that knew the answers to my questions were deceased--so I've hit one of those preverbal brick walls with that line. I worked a little on the cemetery where her parents are. Was working on our own family members there, taking photos, and I started taking photos of other stones that day, the Steve's were among them. That is probably the biggest "connection" I have had with Carrie, although she is a leaf on my tree--it is very heavily filled out!! :-)

RE: #60922354 - Weitzel
That sounds great - I have been researching the Germans from Russia for a long time, translating records for AHSGR, etc., as well as my own family coming from the same Village in Russia, and the Weitzels are mixed up in my Kanzler side of the family. Members of this family are here in Tacoma. It's very kind of you to suggest the transfers - it would be great for me, and if the family is ever interested enough to inquire, I will gladly pass them along to them if they ask. Thank you...

RE: Lewis J.Hunt
Hello Melissa, Lewis Hunt 1833. Do you know what county in Georgia he was born? My GGGrandfather was Thomas Winn Hunt b. Ga. 1813 Gwinnett Co. probably. His son Henry Thomas b. 1845 and a brother Lewis Foster b.1855? Could be that Thomas Winn had a brother Lewis.??? This family has been hard to find out much about. Thanks to a generous soul on a message board that read my post for info on Littleton Hunt b. Va. 1741-42 who was the father of Thomas Winn Hunt. His mother was Sarah Winn Hunt. Let me know if you find any siblings for your Lewis. James Hunt lived in Hancock Co., Ga. in early 1800's. Have you looked thru any of the old census? Check out Clark Co. also.

RE: Christian Wolf
You are quite welcome... Definitely a lot of confusion on the various spellings. I noticed it when I was out getting photos in the cemetery today. Thanks for the quick response and your work on Find A Grave!

Ezekiel Shamblin
The Ezekiel Shamblin from Jackson Co, Wv is not the same Ezekiel Shamblin who is believed to be the father of your Caleb Shamblin. Please contact me and I will share info on both of the two Ezekiel Shamblins that you have mentioned.

I think the kellys were all in a row and I took the photos and opened them up since they were not opened. In case someone was looking for them. I am not related to them. I looked a Kelly for someone. The cemetery here in town is hard to get good photos. It is on a hill and I get sun glare so I go back again later. Guess I am too particular on the photos lol.

Hi Melissa,
Sorry for the confusion. The note was taken from the cemetary records, 'b OK; m/o Maxine Pillow' born in Oklahoma; mother of Maxine Pillow, Maxine was the funeral informant. The second portion 'mdn by 47263072', Find A Grave member J Martin Graham #47263072 supplied me with her maiden name. I hope this helps.
All the best.

Hi, You are so welcome for the photo. Yes his marker is unusual I have ran across a few similar to his. I am not sure if they are an inexpensive marker that they can get from the funeral home or if it is a temporary marker. Meyer Brothers is a Funeral Home in Sioux City, IA. I am happy that I could get the picture for you.
Take care,
