|Kimberly||Anna G Wenger Gish|
Hello again - I am confused about Anna G Wenger whom married Jacob B Gish (1767-1836). There are two different memorials for his wife Anna # 53201928 and then there is # 123512240
Is it because it is unclear when she died and who her parents are? I do still want to thank you for posting all this information - it is nice and I appreciate the time it takes. Kimberly from KS

I'm pretty sure the spelling of the religion is "Dunkers" not "Drunkards." They were of the Old German Baptist Brethren faith.

|David P. Wilson||Eva Sporny Witkofsky|
Hi there, Bill. I was just noticing that a few years back, when we were discussing Sporny genealogy, that Eva's memorial didn't get linked to those of her parents, Joseph and Anna (Lewandowski) Sporny. I've just submitted to you a linking request for Eva memorial to theirs, if you'll check for and clear it when you get a chance. Thanks! I'm trying to ensure Joseph and Anna get linked to the memorials of each of their kids. Best regards, Cousin Dave Wilson

Please remove the photo from memorial 24484147. This is his father. Note SR on the stone. The story information is correct. Birth and death is incorrect - have requested it be changed to known until we find the correct information.

Hi! Thanks for listing Hilkiah Rosbrugh. I was wondering if you have the address for the cemetery. I'm having trouble finding it on google maps.

|path1209||Jacob Gish info correction|
Jacob Gish's first wife was Anna Vineyard, Wingert, Wenger. She was the mother of all of his children. His second wife was Catherine "Caty" Snider Stover, the widow of John Stover. (Stover was the father of all of her 1 children.) John died in October 1829 and she married Jacob in Dec 1830. Catherine was my 2x grgrmother on my maternal side. Jacob Gish was my mother's father's father's mother's father, and thus my 3x grgrfather. So Jacob Gish was both my 3x grgrfather and my 2x step-grgrfather.

|Terry Foenander||Edward Langford Bridges|
I have the following data on Confederate Navy midshipman Bridges:
Edward Longford Bridges, resident of Richmond, Virginia; midshipman in the Confederate States Navy; served on the school ship, Patrick Henry, James River, in 1865; accompanied the guard that protected the Confederate Treasury, at the fall of Richmond, in April, 1865; surrendered and paroled at Houston, Texas, June 21, 1865; married at Washington County, Texas, on March 1, 1871. |Sandra Bertram Meier||Holland / Berryman - Grimes County|
I do believe that you have confused two cemeteries here. After researching we discovered that the directions on the home page for Holland Cemetery are the directions to Berryman Cemetery. It is marked Berryman.
We took all the tombstones photos yesterday and they match with findagrave records for Berryman and not with Holland.
The picture that you have of Holland has a comment written on it that this Cemetery is located on St. Rd 6 in Navasota, TX next to Crossing Community Church in Navasota. The photo you posted is of Holland and that is right. Only the directions are wrong.
Could you contact findagrave administration and have the directions to Holland Cemetery corrected. This was very confusing for us - Thanks

Hello- I saw your wonderful memorial to John McCausland of the Revolutionary War. So much care and effort went into it that I feel certain that he was your personal ancestor. I am curious as to whether you have a family tree of McCauslands. I have an ancestor, Mary McCausland, who was born in Virginia in the 1785-1795 range. She married William Evan Grant in 1816 in Frederick, Virginia. Anyway, that is the little info that I am certain of. There are many family trees that try to place her as a child of Oliver McCashland,1748-1824... Due to the fact that this Mary McCashland (born 1788) was married to a John Lake, who died after her, I am unsure. Anyway, thank you for your time. Beth

This is a huge cemetery, and without grave location, impossible to find. Grave location is not given to anyone but family.

|Holly Ann||Anthony Cardwell/ Misenheimer Cardwell Cem|
Hi. Anthony Cardwell was my ggg grandfather through his daughter Sarah Angeline Cardwell Johnson. The Meisenheimer Cardwell Cemetery is located outside of Lockhart Texas off of FM RD 2001. Off of 2001 turn on County Rd. 234. It is a gravel road. Follow it around until you come to the cemetery on your left. This is a dead end road so you will have to turn around shortly after the cemetery. You can go to the Texas Historical Atlas page and look for historically designated cemeteries in Caldwell County and you will find it listed there with directions. We do have an active cemetery association and will be meeting in Lockhart on October 2.

|Bill Daugherty||Mary Glenn|
I did look in the area in Spring Creek Cemetery where your Mary Glenn should be but did not find her or Hamil Glenn. I did find the other Mary Glenn, and took a photo of her marker, and John C. Glenn. They could be somewhere else in the cemetery. I did not find them yet, however.
Are these Shirks related to the Shirks that owned McClanahan's Drugstore?
I'll keep my eyes open for other Shirks as well. I copied the info you sent to Storres. He's helped photograph some markers for me as well.

|Chris Sly/e||Emily Sly Coles|
Regarding subject memorial #53204987, I found that Emily's married last name was Coles. Also found a picture of her gravestone that shows her surname as Schley. Curious why she would have used her maiden name (?) on tombstone. Also found out that others in her family also used the surname Sligh and also Sly - 3 surnames- WOW!.
Can you tell me what the numbers represent that are in brackets following each parents and siblings names?

Hi Bill - Welcome to F.A.G. and thanks for your nice note! You're very welcome for the photos; I was glad to get them. I wanted to let you know that Hubert is right between his 2 wives; Hettie is on the right and Sammie is on the left. If you are interested in Sammie's info & photo, let me know. I can set her record up & transfer it over to you or I can send her info to you to do yourself. Either way is fine with me.
I hope you enjoy F.A.G.; it's a great site! Nice to meet you. -- Eileen

The Smetana (Moravian) Cemetery is 6 miles out from the Courthouse on the Caldwell Highway near Byran, Brazos Co, TX. After going 6 miles, turn right (North) and the cemetery is 1/4 mile down the road.
Bill, I didn't actually visit the cemetery. The Texas Research Ramblers have taken photos of the tombstones and they are on the website listed above. They only ask that you give them credit, which I did.
