Whitlock
Hello Im looking for Whitlock family. Dr. Stanley C Whitlock his father was Giles. Are you realated. It does not look like Stanley and his wife Thelma had any children, so we were looking for any family that maybe interested in representing his family in a situation in our area. Either by email, letter or in person. Thelma donated land to the people of Michigan in Honor of her husband back in the 1960's. There is a group that is now trying to buy it from the DNR, and it actually may happen. Our town would like to preserve this land as its always been. If your interested here is the link to our group.https://www.facebook.com/groups/138684139551691/
Here is some information on Dr. Whitlock and its clear in the article his love for nature.http://www.newspapers.com/clip/1410857/bottomleft_and_topright/

I'm happy to transfer your relative to you. Always wondered about the discrepancy on the birth year on the two stones.

RE: Weiler - Wiler
Have received info that Anna Maria Weiler's maiden name is Schmidt. Supposedly this info is on Ancestry.com. Still researching to confirm this info.

Just curious as to how you are related to Georgie? Any more photos? My name is Tracey and I would be her great step niece.

JD Gilkey
Hello
Do you have any connection to the Gilkey Family?

I am doing the family tree on Ancestry.com

I show Richard Douglas Vandecar married to Alice Jane Gilkey. Do you have a photo of Richard and Alice?

I am interested in contacting any of the Gilkeys in the Caro area to gather family information and photos.

Please give my e-mail address to any Gilkey Family you have contact with.

jdgilkey2009@yahoo.com

Thank you

Pine Ridge Cemetery
This cemetery is basically abandoned. As one of the oldest cemeteries in Bay County it has been adopted by a group called the Friends of Pine Ridge. As far as I know there are no records remaining of the burials and locations. I am unable to walk the entire cemetery to locate graves. You might contact the Friends of Pine Ridge Here's a page on the cemetery
http://bay-journal.com/to/pineridge/
The transcription online only gives the name and what's on the tombstone not the location.

RE: Hi
It took a while but I found it. It was Abigail's father Homer Purdy. So it was just confusing me to have it on the Vandecar/Whitlock plot.

RE: Clara Murphy - Wauwatosa Cemetery
You have an active request for Wauwatosa, which I claimed, but haven't upload yet. :-)

You added this to the request:
I'm trying to find out who Claire is...I'm hoping a photo of her headstone may help. I find Claire living w/ my Grandfather in the 1940 Census in St. Joseph, Berrien, Michigan.

Which she is not.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I will be able to fulfill your photo request for John Hornback at Riverside National Cemetery. Riverside National Cemetery has no record of "John Hornback" being interred here. However there is a John Hornback interred at Arlington National Cemetery:

I double-checked the Cemetery Transcription book to be sure I was looking in the right place; it has a note on the side that he was actually buried in Grand Rapids, MI! That was a surprise, but I'm glad I looked. Good luck.

Thank you so much Peggy for the photo for Jose. He was one of 76 men killed in action from my sister unit in Vietnam. Soon I will have all of them back together again where they belong and then my work will be done
