Helmick Family
I also took other Hemick family headstone photos in case they were related to Keith Helmick. They are as follows:
Lola G. Helmick, b. 1901, d. 1967 - Virgil T. Helmick, b. 1896, d. 1967 (Virgil and Lola on same headstone with Masonic symbols), Baby Stanley S. Helmick, b. 1930, d. 1931 - Baby Earl Thayne Helmick, b. 1940 Age 3 Hours, Gladys G. Helmick, b. 1910, d. 1937. If you would like any of these please let me know. I found a Lola Gladys listed in the Monte Vista list, but Gladys G. is the only one I found. Best Regards: Alabama Poes

I hope I have the right person to match the headstone. Although you didn't request a photo, I was out taking photos of other headstones and had a list of people from Find a Grave that were in this cemetery. I noticed you didn't have the dates of birth or death, so thought it might help fill in some blanks. Best Regards: Alabama Poes

I just wanted to let you know that there's a photo of your sisters gravestone on her memorial. The Hawley cemetary is a very beautiful place, I was out there a couple of weeks ago and there were bluebonnets everywhere.

Hi Lori -
I emailed you several obits on Saturday. Did you get them? Just wanted to double check that the emails didn't go to your junk box.
Have a great weekend! Judi

Okay, well....
When it flipped me to your page when my last message posted, I see that you have already made the connection with Gail. Funny how that works, huh? I will send you the obits, etc via email unless Gail has already given them to you. Email and let me know.
Have a great night and that is so great that you seem to have found a cousin(?). Judi

RE: Annie L. & William Bowers - MonteVista
Hi Lori -
You are very welcome! However, I am not related to this family, I merely answered a volunteer request to take a picture of Annie and William's grave. In doing that, I dug up some obits on their family (as I like to do when I take pictures) and started piecing everything together for the person that made the request. Esther and Ray are buried at Monte Vista and I had previously added memorials for them, but I had not connected them to Annie and William. I have done that now. Mary and Paul are also buried there and I just added memorials for them. When I was last at the cemetery, there was ice in many areas and so I couldn't find their graves. I will be back down there next month and will get pictures for you. I will forward you the obits that I found to give to the person that made the photo request and I will look up the others that I didn't get when I go back there in May.
If you go to Annie and William's memorials, you will find the name of the person who created their memorials (Gail Hartman) and you can contact her that way. I believe she was a g-granddaughter or gg-granddaughter. I can't remember for sure now.
As I said, I will be back in that area in May, so if you need to me get anymore pictures or find some obits for you, just let me know. You can email me at
I'm SO glad that you found your relatives! It is for people like you that I work so hard to transcribe cemeteries and put them on this website. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else! Judi

RE: Willis & Darlene Bowers' Daughter
OMGoodness!!! I am SOOO glad to hear from you. My mother and your mother were the best of friends when my dad was in the service during WWII. Mom tells me that they ran all around Denver EVERYWHERE together. Email me at gailhartman @ hotmail dot com and I can tell you more how we fit into the family.
