Thank you!
That is very kind of you Susan to transfer my 5th great grandparents to me! That's great that you are out there trying to discover and record these valuable monuments before all traces of them vanish - even if it is by stubbing a toe :) Thanks you made my day! Best regards, from California!

Hi Susan -
Are you related to Madeline? If so, would you like me to transfer her memorial to you? I am not connected with her at all, just took the photo when I was at the cemetery one day.
Best regards,
Peg

I posted the obit for William - I will let you send the edits for the memorial as R&J do not accept edits from me anymore.

I found nothing for Luthenia, but I did find an obit for William Connolly - if you want I can post that one?

Please don't apologize, I am surprised to hear back so soon! I hit the "wall" with Phebe a long time ago. I'm appreciative of your clues. Her parents seem as elusive as she is do far. Thanks again for your help!

Phebe Ackert Smith
Memorial # 76387719
I have been unable to find any clues for Phebe's parents until your Find A Grave memorial - thank-you! I cannot find any other info and wondered where you found their names.
Patrick responded "I got the newspaper article from The Pine Plains Register Thursday, December 13, 1923. Susan made the memorial - I am not sure where the information about Peter Ackert and Phebe Waters being the parents may have come from - maybe census records? Susan may have more info as the obit is rather sparse on it."
Any clues to your source for Peter and Phoebe Waters Ackert is greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time and attention to my request.

Aloha, Susan-- I just discovered Sophia Rider (1765-1840), my 5th GGM, who married Edmund Wright (1763-1804). If you come across her in your Rider work, I would love to know! Mahalo, Susan Parks

RE: poughkeepsie journal
Newspapers.com is my new source - costs me 60.00 a year, but since I am doing an extensive family search it seems to be well worth it. Since most of my family were Poughkeepsie based I only need the Journal, and its predecessors.

RE: Nathaniel Robinson 72984058
Thanks for posting his bio. Browsing through these olde books is very interesting!

My friend descends from the Issachar Robinsons: Huldah # 84875090 was wife to one and mother to the other. It seems their commonly-believed ancestry is not entirely accurate so we're trying to find as much source information as possible to determine who was really related to whom. Not even sure whose parents Huldah's were, which is where browsing through olde books comes into play.

Happy hunting!

Lee

Lydia Sheldon
Hi Susan,

I'm writing about Lydia Sheldon
Grave Memorial# 66981571

She is my 3rd great grandmother
and was married to Gideon Sheldon.
However, her children were not
as listed on "Find A Grave":
Evelina Shelden (____ - 1827)*
Albert Shelden (____ - 1827)*
Sarah Shelden (____ - 1827)*
The first two were children of her son Henry Sheldon who married Selina Cook. I don't know who Sarah Sheldon is.
I belive Lydia's children were Daniel, Desire, and Henry.

Please let me know if this makes sense to you.
Thanks, Eileen

Harry Hawley
Hello Susan,

I'm trying to find my grandmother's father, Ralph W Hawley. We believe his father was Harry E Hawley. I am wondering if you have seen a Ralph Hawley in the Pawling Cemetery? Our family has been searching for years without any luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

SvanBen
VanBenschoten family
Susan,
Here is the Van list for you that you suggested I send to you. They are all buried in the Gallatin Reformed Church Cemetery. I put spouses in also . I am assuming you don’t need me to do this on the individual sites, but will, if need be.
Jane VanBenschoten 1792-1882 # 66242229
James Knickerbacker # 66242228
Mariah VanBenschoten 1809-1873 # 66242304
Henry Mabey 1804-1870 # 66242303
Cornelius VanBenschoten 1794-1865 # 66242549
Tunis VanBenschoten d 1867 # 66242558
Margaret Knickerbocker 1788-1877 # 66242554

It will be good to connect all the family together. The person who I am also looking for is Lucy Potter, married to Henry. I can’t find her anywhere.I had photos of her and Henry and the dog ate them!!
Do you know who Minnie Cohen is? I see there are “notes” saying “from a listing by Minnie Cohen” on several of the memorials.

RE: Peter Jonas Lasher
This is what I found on Find A Grave's help screen:

Is there a way to search for a member's profile page?
Yes, but you will need to know their public name used on the main site. Go to 'Contributor Tools'. From the Customize box, click the 'edit' button next to 'My Find A Grave Friends', then select the 'Find Members' link. [Top]

If it doesn't work I transferred Sally Scism Lasher to her 78860271

I'm thinking that maybe I'll just transfer all my holdings from a cemetery to a person who already has a lot. For instance I could give you Evergreen. But don't worry, I'm not ready to do it yet.

RE: Peter Jonas Lasher
Thanks Susan.
But I don't need anyone transferred to me. As it is I have over 18,000 memorials to take care of and find a good home for when I'm ready to kick the bucket. However it might be nice if you gave him to Cynde Quiroz 48694495. She is a direct descendant. In fact, almost all the Lashers in the cemetery are related to Peter's parents, John & Christina.

RE: Gerow Brill
Susan, I hope you did not think I was being critical. We really appreciate all you have done by entering all this information. I'm not sure how the information about Gerow's connection to the farm in New Jersey was entered in his obituary incorrectly.
I'm not sure what I need to do since you have transferred them to me. Any advice would be helpful. Again, thanks for all you have done to keep these records for some of our family members. Are they in your family somewhere?

This is my grandfather and he "managed" Forsgate Farms in Jamestown, NJ. He did not "own" it. It was owned by Mr. Forester.
