Hi Gail - it's me again! This is MY Dad & I am sponsoring his memorial & wondering if you would transfer the management of this, also? Thanks! - MJ

You're so sweet. Again, I do appreciate all you have done. If you ever see 'someone' (me) over at our Myers' plot, please come over. Hope your genealogy keeps moving, it's so frustrating when you come to a block - drat the 1890 Census! - MJ

Hello Gail - Thank you SO much! My husband's family is at least 8 generations Carroll Countians. Everyone thinks we know such n'such yet I have always been amazed that so many are NOT related. There are a ton of Mary Myers, though! It has been a rough year & I love connecting w/family thru my genealogy that I have gotten back to. I have always taken care of the 'family plot', as you can see from the flowers. Would it be too much trouble for me to take over - Richard Myers (#70742092), F Calvin Myers (#70734808) & Anna Deberry Myers (#70734782)? Thank you for your kindness and time that you have shared with me - it has been much appreciated! God bless you!

Catherine Elizabeth Smith Myers
Hello Gail - I was under the impression that Find A Grave passed along all the links needed - sorry. I have been away from the computer due to the passing of my husband, Wayne Morris Myers on Feb 11, 2011. It was thru family members, that contacted me, that I got back on & found out the error in his mother's name, Catherine Elizabeth Smith (Thank you for changing it!) Myers. There was no need to change the obit for his father, Raymond Deberry "Bill" Myers. Catherine was his first wife & he was then married to ANOTHER Mary Myers (not me - sorry for the confusion). Whatever his obit originally said, was probably correct so could you please change it back? Believe me, I dealt w/that for years myself w/having the same name as my mother-in-law! Also, my husband's family had difficulty w/having a Raymond Myers w/a son, Wayne living right next to them for decades - what were the chances being that remote & they weren't even related! But, I'm sure, you know about all that with genealogy as someone could have 5 sons & then each of them named their 1st born sons after their father...til you realize you have been barking up the wrong tree! I will be sending a check to Find-A-Grave to take over the sponsorship of some of the family sites. I thank you so much for all your hard work & time in putting info on that can help others searching for their roots.

Hello again, Gail - Keysville cemetery. - I meant that there is no name of Catherine Elizabeth Kershaw in our genealogy that would have gotten mixed up w/my deceased husband's mother - sorry for confusion. Catherine Elizabeth Myers' mother was Jesse G (nee) Kershaw who married John L Smith. The family did not know why the newspaper did not put her maiden name as 'Smith' at the time of her death, next to her, father, John L Smith. Hope this clears it all up so that it can be correctd. - Thanks AGAIN! MJ

Hello Gail - Keysville Cemetery - Can you please remove the 'Kershaw' from my husband's mother's name? Where did this come from? There is NO such name in our genealogy. Even her maiden name is SMITH. My husband & I maintain our relatives & family plots there & even put the new plaque on the headstone. We really would appreciate this. Thank you so much for all your time - MJ

RE: Bethany Cemetery
Hi Gail,
No problem. I'll submit a request to have it changed to Taylorsville, and the change of town should be done within a week or 2.

RE: Bethany Cemetery
Hi Gail,
Topographical map shows Covers Corner in Carroll Co. but very close to Carroll/Frederick line. This isn't the town I picked for it by the way, its the town that was attached to the original cemetery listing. Here is a map if this link works:

Topo Map

What would you/your father-in-law suggest as a location? Taylorsville?

RE: Bethany Cemetery
Hi Gail,
The two cemeteries have already been combined, which is why I sent you messages about the duplicate memorials that need to be deleted.

And to be honest I've never heard of Covers Corners either (and I grew up just down the road) but that seems to be where it is. Do you have a different suggestion?

And here's something worth checking out, its a map of Carroll Co. cemeteries

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/mapCems.cgi?countryer=4&stater=22&countyId=1192

Gives a good quick picture of what is listed already (easier than going through the "search by county" list), which is how I spotted the duplicate cemetery so quick. A good place to check before creating a new cemetery.

RE: Keysville Union Cemetery
Dear Gail,

Thanks for the info, and yes, could you please look up other dates in the book for Keysville Union Cemetery?
If DOB's are listed, what is exact date for Susanna Angel Veant?

What about exact Death date for Daniel John Veant? I just have 1882.
I am looking for any other Weant/Veant graves. Are others known in Keysville?
As for C.L Wilbur Sullivan, yes I would like his date of death. I have opened a photo request also and am looking for his wife, Mary Pauline. Is she buried with him? I will open memorial if she is there too.

Thank you soooooooooo much for all this help!
Sincerely,
Gervaise

Dear Gail,
Thank you so much for the VEANT and SULLIVAN photos. I have two questions I hope you can help me with: The marker sitting at the bottom of David and Alice Sullivan's grave, Wilbur Sullivan, is that for plot owner or is he buried there too? He was their son. If he is there, I need to add a memorial for him. Secondly, on your copy of photo, can you read DOD for Susanna VEANT? I thought it looked like Feb. 23, 1882 but can't tell for sure.

Thanks again for all the photos!

Toodles,
Gervaise
