Thank you for the post from the Lawhorn cemetery. James King Lawhorn is my gret grand father and Charles Jacob my great great Grand father. Have been at the cemetery several times. In 1955 I was there and saw the log cabin that James King lived in. My grand Mother is burnetta elmira Lawhorn Coss, Wilma Wyant, vkwwdw@g-mail .com

marriage date:1855 (8 children to this union)
2nd wife: Rebecca Jane Riggs 1833=1888
marriage date: 1870 (2 children to this union)
3rd wife: Sarah Tellett Newman 1833-1915
marriage date: 1890
Does this correspond with your information?
Also, I have the burial site for Sarah as

I do not have burial sites for Elizabeth or Rebecca... Do you have this information?

My grandmother was Eva Cooper who married R Z Ward, Robert Ithamar's son. Just wondered if we are related and if so, how? Looking forward to your answer....

Glad I could be of help! It's often easier to track down than up and I was glad to find George. I don't know that we will ever get any further back than his father James. One young man showing up in a frontier town alone... even his children didn't know where he was from. The Stum family, on the other hand, is more promising.

The Director of this Cemetery has confirmed that Voelker's is not buried in this Cemetery, but have confirmed they are in Sikeston City Cemetery . Will get pictures in next few days.
