Sarah M Cobb Jeter
Hi Dave
I saw where you had submitted some photos of Old Cemetery, Gainesville Sumter Co. Alabama.

My 4 times great grandmother, Sarah M Cobb Jeter (1779-1849) is buried there and there is a great photo of her tombstone on the site. Unfortunately that contributor has passed away. Also since there is already a photo of the tombstone I can't make another request in that regard.

I don't know where you are in relation to Gainesville, but I am interested in getting a transcription of what is written on Sarah's tombstone. It just looks so interesting and I cannot make it out. Most of it is no longer legible.

Not sure who to contact in this regard. Since it is not exactly a "photo request."

Would appreciate your help. Or if you can point me in the right direction.

Not sure how Sarah ended up in Alabama. Her husband Caleb was from Virginia and died in North Carolina. Have not located his grave.

Transfer Request
Hi there-- I would like to request a transfer of #49344261 Sebastian Lafayette Bruister to my account (#48066931). This is my great great grandfather.

Thank you for all the work you did to get his grave listed--it was exciting to see his burial place and the picture has helped me with genealogical society applications.

Sincerely,
Adrienne Danke

Hi. The photo you have posted on the Siloam Cemetery page is not of the Siloam Cemetery. It is a photo of the smaller cemetery located behind the Siloam Cemetery. We do not know the name of that cemetery, which usually remains unkept for most of the year. It is a separate burial ground and is not part of the Siloam Cemetery. Neither is it owned by the Siloam Baptist Church (as the Siloam Cemetery is) or cared for by the Siloam Cemetery Association (as the Siloam Cemetery is).

Young Edits
I submitted a numbers of edits on Young family in Mt. Pisgah, Clarke County, MS. Nothing has happened in a several weeks. Others edits I have submitted where completed in a couple of days. Do you know what I can do? It looked like the person may have canceled their contact number. I couldn't find any "complaint" number for findagrave. You were one of the creators of one of my ancestors so I'm reaching out to see what I can do. Thank you!

Siloam Cem., Sumter Co., AL
Hi. You added a photo (in 2013) to the Siloam Cemetery page (Sumter Co., AL) that is labeled as the "black section" of the cemetery. Your photo is correct in that it is of a black cemetery that is located behind the Siloam Cemetery. However this little cemetery has no name that we know of. It is not part of the Siloam Cemetery and really should have its own page, as burials are being posted to the Siloam Cemetery page, when they are in fact in this other cemetery. We have not been able to figure out who is in charge of that little cemetery. It remains very unkept for most of the year. Anyway, I just thought you should know that the picture you posted is not of the Siloam Cemetery, but a separate cemetery that perhaps, once upon a time, was begun with slaves(?) who lived in the Siloam community.

George Washington Bonner Jr. #77040413
You added a picture of a headstone for G.W.Bonner, 40th Alabama Inf. to this memorial, but I think it belongs to George Washington Bonner Sr. (18 Feb 1825-1886). There is a U.S.Headstone Application for Military Veterans on ancestry.com for it that lists date of death as 1886 and cemetery as Brightwater.

Susan R Perhala-Horry County Cemetery Registration
re: Phillips Cemetery, Philadelphia, Mississippi
Good afternoon Mr. Snow:
I'm hoping you can clear up a discrepancy about a couple of burials in Phillips Cemetery, Philadelphia, Mississippi. Please look at 29184347 and 29181061 in Phillips. I find Matthew Mills Partridge's spouse buried (memorialized in Ocobla.
Looks like you took the photos for Phillips. Can you confirm if Matthew Mills Partridge and his spouse Rhonda Narcissa Wray Partridge are buried in Phillips or Ocobla?
I need your help.

I don't know who repaired his fallen tombstone, but thank you so much! He was a Confederate Veteran, and it's nice to know his stone has been repaired.

I was recently at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery south of York, Alabama, (Sumter County) and took a picture of the sign which has a new coat of paint on it. Not sure if it is a better picture than the one you put on here. Please delete mine if you wish! Thank you for all your hard work for Findagrave.

Please remove Dawn Witman as parent on this memorial, she was my niece and had no children, the dates also make it impossible. It shows up on her memorial, I have no way of removing the information, only you can do it.
Thanks. Pat

transfer memorial
David, I too grew up in Mobile Co. Went to Vigor(c/o
'65). Taught the last 25 years of my career at Murphy. Since i have retired four years ago, I have fallen in love with genealogy.

You are the manager of my grandparents grave site in West Bend Cemetery In Clarke Co., AL. They are Horace Lee Truitt (55223905) and Maggie Anderson Truitt (55223919).

My father William Horace Truett died in 2014; he was their only child. My brother and I are the only grandchildren.

I would love to be the manager of their sites so I could add family links. I would appreciate itif you would transfer the sites to me. My father had a twin that died at birth (site #33708786), and it was transfer to me.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
