Photo of William Henderson Acord
The young men in the photo of William Henderson Acord are Harvey Elijah and Ira Smith, brothers of his wife Lucinda "Lucy" Smith Acord.

Parents were Ira Pinkney and Lucinda Adeline Smith. His gravestone is at Bruce Chapel Cemetery, next to our Stephens plot. Memorial# 9579504

His older sister Rhoda Smith married John Stephens, and their stones were at Bruce Chapel in the early 1980s, but they are gone now. My father and I saw them propped up against a tree near the church. Their burials are documented in Harriet Vaught's cemetery book.

I would like to believe that the grandparents Drury and Millie Smith are buried at Bruce Chapel Cemetery along with many of their other children and grandchildren, where so many stones are missing.

Lucinda Adeline Smith's grandfather was Mr. Jarrell whose farm the cemetery was a part of originally.

I have been researching these families for over 35 years, and all of my information is well documented with proof.

Do you or anyone know where Lucinda M "Lucy" 3rd wife of William Henderson Acord is buried? She died in Missouri, but I have not found her burial location.

Natasha, I am not related to Martha Eaton. I did transfer the memorial to you. I took the photo from the Posey County Coordinator , Dan Elliott photos he took at Maple Hill Cemetery. He might have more info about Mrs. Eaton, but he usually puts everything he has about a person on his site. His email is
He has a lot of reference material at his disposal.

I have no idea except her name is so unusual that no one knew how to spell it. I wish knew what it means and where did her parents come up with the name.

You posted photos of a Casey Gwaltney. There are several indications that he is from my family, distantly that is. Casey had been used in my family, Viola-Hubert-Vercia-Charles-Velma were Gwaltneys born in the 1920's in Mill Sholes, White Co., Illinois. I would very much like to be in contact with someone who knows these names. You see, I can trace them back to 1680 with ancestors named Giles Knight who was one of the Quakers that came over with William Penn. Do you think there may be a chance to share with them??

RE: Johann Fleck
Tasha, bear with me til this week. My mom recently died and things are crazy, and I haven't pulled out my Fleck stuff for a but... In the meantime, this guy here is as far back as I am sure of. There's a link to another John in this bio but that us unproven. There were an original 4 Fleck boys and I cannot yet prove my connection, but all my current speculation is on site, especially with John. Let me know your thoughts when you can.

Hi Natasha....
Too answer ur question...I was dating Richard when he passed. I was just 19 and had been together just shy of a yr. Well not long before the tragedy of our loss of him.; we had found out I was pregnant ...and we were so happy. But about a month before he had a change of heart with me being young and all he thought we should wait. So we had an abortion. I didn't want it but I loved him so much that I also respected his feelings on what would be forever both of our lives..ya know. But when that monster took him from us it was like a complete regret. That still to this day I think that if only I could have just disagreed that 1 time how I could of still with Richard my 1st true love of my life takin from me ..if only I would still have that one special part of him forever!
So yes I did and still truely and always will care and love your cousin Richard Lee.
And it was very nice to beable to meet you.
Sincerely yours

Hi Natasha,
Nancy's parents were John Trout and Malinda Jane Jacobs. Her brother's name was Henry who was my great grandfather. If there is anything else I can help with don't hesitate to ask.

Hi There,
Sorry it took me a couple of days to get back to you. You added some wonderful pictures of Carolyn to her memorial. I have taken the liberty of transferring her memorial to your care. She was a lovely lady.

Sorry, I do not have this person in my database. Who is your Uncle? If you want to provide me with a bit more information I will check my files for you to see if there is a connection. Good luck!
