He sure liked his wives young, didn't he! I figured that he must have wanted his second wife to appear to be older...but the first was younger yet! One of my grand-aunts divorced her first husband and married a guy about half her age. Both lied about their ages to the census takers for the rest of their lives--but their stones are accurate.
I'll be glad to transfer any of your family to you that you want.

No problem, I have had a very hectic few weeks so sorry if I have answered you.
When someone posts a problem, they should close the request if they know the person is not buried there. I did look just to make sure and then closed the request so it is not left on the cemetery list.
This is a wonderful site with just a few bugs in it to keep it interesting.

After reading the obit you sent to me, I noticed that I grew up a few houses away from Murl Cannon. His son Gary still lives in the house. What a small world.

I will make a note on her memorial page
here that she is buried in Durango.

I appreciate your help. It is her birthdate that is in question. Her death certificate states 1871.

I am confused by the memorial page you have for Katherine, and hope you can help.
She died in St. Louis, MO. On her death certificate, it stated she was to be buried there, but there is no Find A Grave memorial in MO for her.
Also, her birthdate on her death certificate is 1871, where on her headstone, it is 1864.
All of the census records match the Katherine and George in Cortez, including George's military headstone records.
George died first, and it is possible that Katherine's remains were sent to Cortez.
Do you know if Katherine is actually buried there?

No problem. I don't know why people report a problem and then leave the request open. But I went into the office and "double checked" just to make sure. It's close to my house and was a pretty day.

While researching my family tree, I found this memorial. Are you the descendant of J E Miller Jr? If so we are related. I would like to contact you if you are interested in geneologyof your family. Thanks Martha Messer Barker, member of Find A Grave

You let me know about an ad showing up in the middle of an obit I had added to her memorial. Doesn't that just take the cake?? Ads are showing up all over the place on my computer when I'm in Find A Grave or ancestry or any of these genealogy sites - they just keep popping up out of nowhere. Hate it!
Thanks for letting me know.

Taken Care Of. Thanks for that. I knew I messed up with a few of the placments of photos. Late nights and trying to make it happen.
I am trying to share in the overall project with the Cortez Cemetery. As I go through their listing and compare with Findagrave's list, I'm creating sites for each person. I can only request 20 per week. I am listing the rests under this virtual cemetery. Also I have ones that have no markers.

Hi - I received the following message from 'firstname.lastname@example.org regarding a complaint you filed:
Find A Grave contributor Calmly Searching has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Sarah Ann Beck.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=123549175
Link to contributor profile: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47240541
Their suggestion: Hello,
This is a duplicate of another memorial created in 2011. :(
I can't find your memorial for Sarah Ann Dailey (Cronk) Beck. She was the second wife of my great-great grandfather, John Beck. They are both buried in the Pomona Cemetery, and there is no headstone. Are you sure we have created duplicate memorials? How can I see your memorial page?

Where is Elsie actually buried?...
Was she removed from Blue Mountain Cem?
I am assuming this is where her remains
are since the headstones are here..
