Thank you so much. This sweet little angel died in a fire at 2 1/2 years old. His mother was severely burned trying to save him. These are distant relatives and I have no idea where Hope Haven is to ever be able to find this sweet angel. Thank you.

|Judith Rabalais||RE: Jane Bordelon Grave|
We have got to be related! I descend from practically all the major Avoyelles families.
In October I am speaking in New Roads at a forum and my subject will be, politely put, "We Are Not Cajun!"
I attended a forum thirty years ago by Nelson Gremillion, the father of Avoyelles genealogy, and that was his very subject. The major families in Avoyelles either came directly from France or they had been in Quebec where they established Quebec City and Montreal in the early to mid- 1600s. The Acadiens went to Louisiana muuuuuch later. Anyway, that is my mission!
I can see how you enjoy this. I wish I could reciprocate in some way.
If you like, when I get the firm date for my presentation (and if you are not too far from New Roads) I will send you an invitation.

I had forgotten putting in the request for the photo of the grave of Jane Bordelon Ducote at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer. What a treat to receive it the other day!
Thank you so much. The information helped me fill in a "missing link" in my genealogy research and I am so grateful.
I would like to compensate you for your time and trouble. Can you tell me how I can do that?
