Greg, I had someone look at the marker - it's partially unreadable because of the quality of the photograph. What they could read "Our dear father Natan Shlomo, son of Avraham ???, Passed away on the 6th of ??? in the year 5690.)

I'm sorry I wasn't able to help but forgot to ask if you'd like a transfer. I'd be happy to!

Hi Greg,
I wish I could help but I never get in that area for photos anymore. If you put in a photo request, I'm sure someone would be happy to take the pic since you have a location! I'm really sorry! Dee

Burns at Mt. Olivet
I transferred the three Burns memorials from Mt. Olivet to you. If I remember correctly, they were next to each other. Happy Hunting!

Ardcarne Cemetery

St Michaels is the local Catholic Church which is in Cootehall. I would be tempted to send a letter to both St Michaels and Saint Beaidh Church of Ireland, which is attached to the cemetery site. E-mail addresses are a luxury and not part of the details I have.

Ardcarne Cemetery

There is a Ardcarne Parish Graveyard Committee who recently received funds towards maintenance and upgrading projects. This might be an opportune time to write direct C/o the Church inquiring as to the condition of the gravestones and pushing your luck for a photograph.

I do not have access to the details you requested. All I have sought to do is create cemetery pages for all the Roscommon graveyards in order that memorials could be created for burials and requests posted for volunteers to seek out details of headstones etc.

If you are certain of the cemetery and have a death date you can create a memorial and post a photo request for their headstone. In time hopefully a volunteer may access the details you require.

it could be that the first woods that passed
and maybe financial problems, they were buried with Rose. Happens all the time in those years out there... just a thought

Dennis Manning
I forwarded your message to my cousin Claudia McCullagh. The Dennis you speak of is indeed the correct one. But I am not related to him by blood-only marriage. Claudia is the daughter of Claudia Manning-McCullagh who married my cousin Patrick McCullagh . Claudia was daughter to Dennis. Their daughter Claudia Jr is on facebook under the name
Claudia Sturles-Danczewski. I hope this helps you.

Drumlion Cemetery

All I have is there names being the caretaker at the cemetery and the other on the graveyard cmmtte.

It may be of some future help if you visit

search for graveyard survey and select

Roscommon Graveyard Survey (2005) - Roscommon County Council.

There is a lot of info if you are looking beyond the Croghan Parish.

At the end of the day the only burial records are the headstones that remain and a personal visit however unlikely will be the only solution to find your ancestors.

Drumlion Cemetery

This account is only a temporary account for a project I am engaged in to get all 260 plus burial grounds in Roscommon on Find A Grave and correctly identified. Still waiting for admin to take the next step. Below are all the burial grounds in Croghan Parish

Croghan C of I 53.91117 -8.21451
Croghan RC Church 53.911282 -8.220045
Drumlion New G'yard 53.91718 -8.129883
Eastersnow 53.935658 -8.227751
Kilcolagh Graveyard 53.904016 -8.228921 Closed
Killappoge Graveyard 53.905605 -8.199245
Killukin Old Graveyard 53.930049 -8.109874 Closed
Killummod Old G'yard 53.904863 -8.120828 Closed
Tumna Ancient G'yard 53.957462 -8.123145 Closed

You can try and contact Sean Murray or Seamus Quigly C/o The Lodge. Carrick on Shannon,Co Roscommon with your query. Cannot promise anything.

Drumlion correct description is Drumlion New Graveyard which may suggest it may not be the cemetery you seek but it will be worth finding out when it was opened.

Volunteers are scarce in this area but it may also be worth looking at Irish based contributors in Leitrim/Mayo who may fancy a day out.

RE: Mary Farrell Frammigen
You're welcome. I almost missed it entirely since it was kind of overgrown and hidden. Too bad there wasn't a marker for your other relative. Take care.

RE: Edward Farrell's sisters
I went to the cemetery today and took photos. There is a stone plaque for Mary and Jacob Frammigen. There is no marker at all for Winifred Grimes. In fact it looks as though there is no marker for either of them because the plaque was covered over but I cleaned it off. There is a headstone for the graves at EO 222A and EO 222D, but no headstones for B and C. So it looks like there's no stone for either B or C. But then I saw the plaque for Mary Frammigen.

Make the request for Mary and I'll post the photo. If you want, I can post a photo of the open space where Winifred's grave is.

Happy to hear you found your sister. I took the info from the death notices. You could call the cemetery and ask them if she has a stone. Their number is 201-997-1900.
