James C. Taylor, Rosamond Grove Cemetery
Hello Rev Sims
Are you able to decipher the age of James C. Taylor from your photograph? If possible, I would very much appreciate knowing his age, at the time of death. Many thanks. RLM

RE: MARGARET ELIZABETH PONSLER WILLIAMS
Thank you. Do you have information on the two children then? My e-mail is waughtel33@gmail.com as I don't have much of anything on them. I just recently found the last lost sister and have all my great grandmother's family together now.

Wayne County Cemetery Preservation Society
James Hoverstock headstone request
Greetings,

WCCPS has a photo from Westlawn Cemetery that I was going to upload to fulfill this headstone request, but I'm not sure it's the same person.

The dates on the stone, as much as they can be read, match the dates on the memorial page, and the parents' initials match, but the name on the headstone is not James, it's John.

Do you know if this would be the correct person? Were the names James and john both used for this individual, or are we looking at two different individuals?

I'll be happy to upload the photo if you believe it's the same person. Please let me know your thoughts.

Stan Durbin
Durbin Cemetery
Reverend,

I'm a new member of findagrave and noticed that you had received some requests for photos of the Durbin Cemetery. My great grandfather Joseph Hiram Durbin is buried there and several other kin. I drove out there today looking for the cemetery but was unsuccessful in finding it. The address I used was 780 N 1800 East Rd, Owaneco, IL 62555. I don't know how far off the road nor what direction from the above address the cemetery might be. I'd like to revisit there when the fields dry up a bit but hopefully before the crops are planted. Any assistance is appreciated. I live an hour and a half away in Marville so would like to have a better idea of the location before I visit next.

P.S. In my search, a Durbin cemetery in Palmer, IL was also listed. Do you know anything about that cemetery? I read a historical news article that mentioned Joseph was Christian County Coroner and lived in Palmer. I fear I may have looked for his grave in the wrong location.

corrections
don't know if you are aware of the new edit deal on Find A Grave. You have to go into your contributor tools on Find A Grave, then edits. I had 193 since first of Dec which I guess is when they started it and I was not aware until I went in to check the number of graves I have added. Anyway, I have alot of corrections to be made and I guess it is because people don't know about this. Thanks, Kay

Grave of Marcel Cossart
My Reverent,

I am a French and I have been looking for an uncle of my father Marcel Cossart who immigrated in USA on 1913. Unfortunatly familly of my father never got any news from him. I remember only my father explaining that he had an uncle in USA ( he was died at this time but my father did not know that) which was for me something unbelievable , and I had a lot of doubt until I found in the "Ellis Iland" reccords, the name of this father's uncle. Then I tried to imagine how to have more information about him until I found the information concerning his death on 31/07/1916 only 3 years after his arrival in USA.
I don't know at all if he had enought time to married and maybe to get a child and what was the reason of his death so young.
Another question is in my mind , how his grave can be in so good shape after so many years if he had no descendant and no family ?
Maybe you could have some answer to these question ,and in any case I would like to thank you very much for what you already done for the memory of Marcel Cossart. He is now in my familly tree, and maybe I will be one day more information about what he done in Illinois State in 1913-1916.
With my best regards
Didier Cossart

I saw that you added a picture of Jared Malin's headstone from Eiler Cemetary. I was wondering if you remembered how long ago you took this picture? I was just there this past weekend and I looked everywhere and couldn't find his headstone. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your Welcome, I tried every type of lighting to try to bring the letters on the marker more visible but I think the only way to do it is to darken each letter with some kind of coloring-it has such a beautiful epitaph "Good Night My Darling-See You In The Morning" I just love it-click the photo twice to enlarge it.

Mike St
New Hope Cemetery
Rev. Sims,
Do you know if there is an index to New Hope Cemetery in Shelby County, Ill.? I'm looking for Tamar Elizabeth (Walker) Carnahan. I believe she died between 1910 and 1917 when her husband Thomas died. Death records list Thomas Carnahan as having been widowed before his death and indicate he is buried at New Hope. I was trying to pin down a date of death for his wife.
Thanks,
Mike Stephenson
