Bill Hart
Ausman Name
I just read your bio and see the mention of the me Ausman. I don't know where you live or how much digging you have done on the Ausmans, but between Hope, Calvary & Forest Hill cemeteries in Chippewa falls, Saimt Joseph, Saint Paul & Evergreen cemeteries in Menomonie, and Saints Peter & Paul cemetery in Independence there are at least 100 Ausman burials.

O Max Hyder
Do you have any more info on his parents? I could not find them listed in a cemetery in Indiana, no memorial number.

Dodson family
While making your changes for the Harveys, I noticed that you also research the Dodson surname. My wife is a Dodson; her family came from Arkansas & Oklahoma. If you have any such connections, please get back to me.

Have a great day,

RE: Tabitha and Levin W. Cropper
Hello, Joe,

I was wondering if you had come across anything about Tabitha Jane Owsley Cropper, most likely buried near Colorado Springs; when you last communicated, you mentioned something about library records. Could you give me the name of that library and, if possible, the web site? I now know Levin W. Cropper's burial place but I'm still trying to find a burial place for Tabitha.

In case it's necessary, my email address has not changed. It is

Thanks for anything you can tell me!

RE: Hiram Warnick
Hi Connie,
There is a way to add photos to the memorials. Just use the add photo button and select your photo. The photos from the cemetery link I sent you are "From another website and cannot be added to Find A Grave because "they are from another website." But you can add photos of the people, which I hope you will, because there are some of us who have never seen their relatives. Let me know if you need help doing any of that.
I deleted my memorial when I sent you the first email, however there is another one that is from someone else. Maybe you can convince them to delete theirs and let yours stand.

RE: Photos
I will check the cemetery indexes I have for Lambton County and ask the Canada Cemetery Project person as well. I only contribute to that project on a voluntary basis and am not officially affiliated with them. There are other Mannen names in Beaver Creek Cemetery and I will check with them first. Because there is still snow on the ground in part of the cemetery, some gravestones are partially or totally covered by snow and there is no index available for it so it's a matter of walking around. The snow cover doesn't help but it is not that large so it isn't a difficulty to do the searching. You can contact me at rather than leave a message with Find_A_Grave if you wish. Let me check the other Mannen gravestones I photographed. Some are very worn by the weather and hard to read but I'll see what I can find.

Peerless Cemetery
I saw you note about the Peerless Cemetery. I had the information about the burial from notes that my grandmother left behind. She died in 1973 when I was a child and her notes were passed to me a few years ago. From what she'd written I wasn't sure if she'd been there or had just written down the information from another source.

I don't live in Lawrence County but I tried to look up the Peerless Cemetery with the intention of going there to take some pictures, however I couldn't find the cemetery on any maps. I searched the aerial photos of the area pretty thoroughly but found nothing. With your information it makes sense that it wouldn't have shown up from the air.

I suppose the next step would be to try to get in touch with a county historian if I can find one. I don't think it would be a long drive but since it's on private property I wouldn't want to just wander the countryside hoping I'd see it.

I have a Robert Wilson Mitchell in my tree 1786-1845. Could that be the same person you descend from? My line is from his brother, Isaac Mitchell, who is Jacob's father.

Let me know if you would like to trade information. I appreciate the clues to locating the cemetery. I believe my grandmother grew up in a house on Trowbridge Road so perhaps I can use the road to help to find a Trowbridge farm.

He married twice after Hazel died. He married Ruby H. Stacey (1885-1965) at Pasadena CA about 1960 and then married Olive Julia Fuller (1889-1980) on 20 JAN 1967 at Los Angeles CA.

Claude Lewis Blood and I are 2nd cousins 3 times removed. Our common ancestor is Nathan Phelps BLOOD (1778-1850).

RE: Sturm Family photos
There are three cemeteries on the same property. Mount olivet, pleasant view and south pleasant view. The mausoleum has always been part of pleasant view cemetery. Records also include it as pleasant view cemetery. I suggested that the memorials be moved to PV cemetery. You can contact member kroberts she has done an excellent job with matching records and Find A Grave memorials. I have taking photos and helping her in making Find A Grave entries accurate. Note thr mausoleum is open on holidays only.

RE: Cyrus
Yes, I can help with this. ------ Frances A. Myers or Meyers married Isaac Homer Eaton in Fulton County, Illinois 11 Oct 1863. (Illinois marriage index) After Isaac H. Eaton died (before 1870) in Franklin County, Kansas, Frances Eaton married Isaac's brother, David S. Eaton 24 July 1870 in Franklin County, Kansas. (Franklin County, Kansas marriage index) Frances & David S. Eaton are listed together in the 1880 Franklin County, Kansas census with a number of children. The oldest was born in Illinois and next two oldest were born in Minnesota, with all the younger ones, born after 1870, listed as born in Kansas. ------------ Also the Washington Death Index lists the father of Cyrus Eaton as Isaac Eaton.--------------- Some Eaton information has been posted on in Franklin County, Kansas. I have been researching Civil War soldiers, mostly from Kansas. At least five of the Eaton brothers served during the Civil War, but there are still some "brick walls.

Family Finder
Dora Lincoln
Joseph and Connie,
Just turned my laptop on after a week of it sitting here and see I never sent this message!

I got the photo of William Lincoln's resting place, but Dora is not there and the office had no record of her. I did some digging and found her place of birth is Kansas around 1875. I found one Dora Lincoln born in California -- not her, then another Dora Lincoln with the following info -- place of birth is not provided.
Name: Dora Lincoln
Birth Date: 1875
Gender: Female
Race: White
Residence Place: Lucas, Ohio, United States
Death Date: 23 Sep 1959
Hospital of Death: Medical College of Ohio Hospital
Death Place: Toledo, Lucas, Ohio, USA
Certificate: 65232
Age at Death: 84
Certifier: Physician
Autopsy: No Autopsy performed
Marital Status: Widowed
Census Tract: 0000

Could this be her? I wasn't able to find *why* she would have relocated to Ohio, as the 1910 Census shows them in Oklahoma and Kansas has a 1915 Census that shows them there. Then 1930 they're on the San Diego Census right before William's death...

ill be sending to you by email as I'm having trouble getting to load on this webpage. There were several buried in Valley Brook but they were related to a H.D. and not H. T. But I went ahead and took pics anyway just in case since I was there to visit my great grandparents.

Mark Burgess
RE: Burgess again
Hi again, I don't know that much about this find a grave site to be able to find messages. It would seem I've not answered some of your messages.

Edward Francis Burgess is my G Granddad, he is buried in the same cemetery as Robert Preston that's buried at Benbow on tadpole road. The other Robert Preston you have him in is at Patrick Ky.

Edward is not far from where Old Edward the Rev war soldier is buried, maybe 3 or 4 miles. I wish his children had buried him there with his dad. They turned against him because he left his first wife Rebecca Bond, for Pricy Preston.

I was at Old Edwards grave site this year, and it's not in the best of conditions. Trees and briars are growing on the graves, it breaks my heart to see it this way. I've thought and thought as to how to build a fence around it strong enough to keep out Curtis's cattle and horses. The cemetery is on a long ridge not far from the road. It's very narrow, only room for one grave wide. The cattle have knocked all the stones down. My GG granddad Gordon Claude Burgess and his wife Louisa Mandaville (May) Truitt is beside him. There grandson D C M L ??? is buried close by his parents were John Swetnam and Louisa Burgess. I believe that GGG Henry Burgess is buried here to, but I haven't found any stone to prove that. Mary Ellen Reid says she believes this to. It would make sense because his Father (Old Edward)and Son (Gordon) are buried there. There are also four unmarked graves, supposedly Civil War Soldiers, according to my G Grand Uncle Autie Burgess.

Edward Jr. is buried just down the road from Old Edward, maybe 1/2 mile. I hope this information helps.

You are very welcome for the photo. Would you like me to transfer ownership of Dorothy to you? I was just taking photos at the Cemetery and know nothing about the family. I really don't like to post info that I haven't personally confirmed. Let me know and I will be happy to make the transfer. Susan
