RE: Joseph Noel
Hi Phil-
Sorry for the slow response; I just realized all of my Find a Grave emails were going to the wrong folder. Thank you for looking for Joseph & Margaretha Griffin Noel. I have been wanting to visit Paradise Twp for a while but haven't made the trip yet. Hopefully soon... I'm not totally sure if the creator of the memorials has evidence that their graves are definitely there or if the memorials are place holders to help with genealogy. Wasn't Nicholas Noel one of the three brothers that settled in Scioto County, Ohio?

My line looks like this:

Joseph Noel//Margaretha Griffin
Johannes (John) Noel//Margaret Poet
Peter Noel// Sophia Good
Phillip Noel // Mercy Massie Fuert
Henry Clay Noel // Sarah Ann McClary
James Albert Noel // Ethel Irene Spriggs
Arnold Noel // Juanita Scaff

Oh and sorry, but I had no clue before your message that there were 2 Findagrave memorials for Anna Susanna Best Lauffer??

Barb Loffer created Memorial #65177981. Perhaps, she may know.

Phillip,

You can probably find the answer on:
www.laufferhistory.com

If questions still remain Jim Lauffer in California can probably best answer you. He maintains our Lauffer History website and I believe that his e-mail address is on the home page.

Good luck to you.

Shirley

RE: Washburne Genealogy
Hello cousin Philip, I'll send you an invitation to my family tree on MyHeritage.com, you can pick away at it yourself. I tend to only document direct ancestors unless I know a sibling or spouse might lead somewhere interesting. Check out Joan de Mytton, Mitton in your tree.
I also found some interesting information on the Washbourne surname which was based on only one land holding that the family held. This family also had land holdings de Estham, de Defford, d'Abitot, de Powis at the same time as de Washbourne which is where the surname gets blurrey.
